Its been rumored for a while that he wants a SB w/o Brady or at least to have success, who knows. If Brady leaves and the first year they dont make the playoffs, maybe he retires.

I would say Belichick will want to test a year with Garoppolo. If he looks like a bust, then I would see him retiring. If he does good, and they're still making the playoffs with him, he'll coach longer.

Yeah losing that game was such a Bills thing to do. Being a Buffalo sports fan at my age has been awful. I have like no memory of the Kelly-era super bowl teams and I've been let down time after time. Crazy to think they haven't even made the playoffs since the 90's. I wish I didn't remember their last playoff game though.

Was reading this blog about Big Ben's extension and also found this which I thought was pretty interesting.

    QB's after signing big contracts

    Joe Flacco - 46 TD's, 34 interceptions, 60.4% completion percentage, 81.6 passer rating (2 seasons)

    Matt Ryan - 54 TD's, 31 interceptions, 66.8% completion percentage, 91.7 passer rating (2 seasons)

    Aaron Rodgers - 55 TD's, 11 interceptions, 65.9% completion percentage, 109.6 passer rating (2 seasons)

    Eli Manning - 161 TD's, 111 interceptions, 61.1% completion percentage, 86.7 passer rating (6 seasons)

    Drew Brees - 115 TD's, 48 interceptions, 66.9% completion percentage, 99.3 passer rating (3 seasons)

    Tony Romo - 65 TD's, 19 interceptions, 66.6% completion percentage, 104.1 passer rating (2 seasons)

    Peyton Manning - 131 TD's, 36 interceptions, 67.7% completion percentage, 107.8 passer rating (3 seasons)

QB's tend to play well after big pay days.

Figured the Vikings would release Jennings, good move. He didn't want to restructure his deal and wasn't worth the money.

Now get rid of Peterson next please.

Kaep is inevitably gonna go down making Gabbert the starter and that will be the moment Niners fan know they're at the bottom again

In all seriousness and curiosity, do you see any potential in Kaepernick? I believe he has maybe 2 to 3 years left of being a solid starter for a certain team who fits him right. I think he's good with staying focused with football in the offseason and has the maturity to excel. However, in around 5 years, he's someone we'll never hear of again imo. He's a qb it seems that gets about 50/50 mixed reviews.

Who the h--- are the main wideouts for the Vikings though? I wouldn't want rid of Peterson man, if I were a Vikings fan. He messed up once and was never in trouble before all that s---. I'd forgive him and hope for him to stay so you actually have some power on offense.

Really? A little surprised honestly. You're probably right though, you know football better than I do. I just always enjoyed reading your write ups on that site you used to post links to from SL. Do you still do that btw? Always found your nfl discussion interesting and well written.

Kaep is kind of f----- tbh and it's not completely his fault. 49ers offense last year had so many issues with play calling, offensive line, wide outs etc. and not to mention Kaep having a bigger role in the offense which he struggled with. That was a pretty big set back for him development wise and I don't know if the 49ers can put together a solid enough offensive unit to see him progress again. This 49er offense might actually be worst than last year's which means Kaep will struggle even more.

Once young QB's are put into that position where they've struggled continuously, they lose their confidence and just bad habits begin to develop. It's hard to get a QB out of that once he's gone down that path. I've seen it happen once with Alex Smith, Harbaugh worked magic on that guy and actually turned him into a decent QB after years of just bad quarterback play but I guess we'll just have to see.

Thanks bruh, nah don't have the time or energy to do that anymore really. I might write for the Jags this year cuz I got a job writing for a Jags site (their fansided site) before last season, wrote one article, and blew it off after. Trying to build a website based on breaking football news is a losing battle for 3 people, but it was fun.

Cordarrelle Patterson is solid, Jarius Wright has shown a lot of potential, and they just added Mike Wallace.
