I think my Sproles jersey is safe. One of my favorite players on the Eagles cuz of his size and the heart he has. Dude is 5'6 160 pounds. Pretty sure he'll retire an Eagle or at least I hope. Next jersey I have to get is a Dawkins one. Most people in Philly have one but he's my favorite player of all time so why not. Don't see myself ever wearing a sports jersey if I'm not going to a game, not into wearing one to the store or something.

it is risky, but it also largely depends on WHO you buy. what the eagles went thru this off-season was extremely unusual. teams normally don't lose multiple star players who are in their prime and still playing at a high level. that's very unusual. it just so happens that chip made some drastic changes that he believes will benefit your team. all i'm trying to say is, if you're an eagles fan who owns a jackson or mccoy jersey, it was a smart purchase/decision.

i want to get a new vikings jersey before the season starts. right now, harrison smith makes the most sense because he's one of the better saftey's in the league, so its highly likely he'll be on the team for a while.

I think a Teddy jersey would be a safe bet for you man. Like you said just wait at least a month or so into the season to see how he does in year 2.

Highly doubt it's true but this report says that people who've talked to AP on a regular basis in the last year say he's considered retirement multiple times and it's a possibility if the Vikings don't trade him. If it's true then :'( .

If he even pretends he's thinking of this route, I'm guessing it's just to further encourage a trade but no one's gonna offer enough to get the Vikings to trade him at this point. So playing in purple or retirement might be his only realistic options...You know which one I'm hoping for..

I heard he might play the retirement card just to get out of contract with the Vikings lol. Not sure how that would work but I'm guessing in theory he would claim he's retiring which would terminate the rest of his contract with Vikings then he'd come back and sign with another team? I'm sure it's more complicated than that and you'd think the league would have some rule in place to stop that from happening.

he can't do that under the NFL's Collecting Bargaining Argeement, basically, if Peterson were to retire this off-season with three years left on his Minnesota Vikings' contract, if he should decide to make a comeback, he'll then have. . .three years left on his Minnesota Vikings' contract. At exactly the same salary figures.

Oh ok cuz I read something on Twitter saying he was going to try to attempt that and I thought to myself.... That can't be possible, can it? Lol you never know with the NFL.

yeah plus he gets 12.75m guarunteed if he shows up for the first game this year, seriously doubt he'd give up that much money.

here's the revelant article from page 262 in the agreement if you were interested

    16. EXTENSION. Unless this contract specifically provides otherwise, if Player becomes a member of the Armed Forces of the United States or any other country, or retires from professional football as an active player, or otherwise fails or refuses to perform his services under this contract, then this contract will be tolled between the date of Player's induction into the Armed Forces, or his retirement, or his failure or refusal to perform, and the later date of his return to professional football. During the period this contract is tolled, Player will not be entitled to any compensation or benefits. On Player's return to professional football, the term of this contract will be extended for a period of time equal to the number of seasons (to the nearest multiple of one) remaining at the time the contract was tolled. The right of renewal, if any, contained in this contract will remain in effect until the end of any such extended term.

Vikings really should have just traded him when they had a good chance, now it's gonna be a big distraction most likely regardless of how it ends.

If Peterson does retire which I highly doubt, he could probably make a good amount of money doing something else anyways so I doubt money will be his primary factor in whatever choice he makes.

after his suspension was upheld last year he said he was thinking about getting back into real esate business and possibly going after the Olympics, guess that's always a possibility but he'd still be leaving a ton of money on the table

    TRUTH!!!!

I've always been a defensive player fanatic. I've had Ty Law, McGinest (old Pats jerseys too, not the new ones), then Rodney, Bruschi, Wilfork, Adalius Thomas (LMFAO), Seymour, etc...

But, I'm kind of being a hypocrit, because I got a Brady Super Bowl 49 jersey... I've rocked it a few times... Feels weird wearing it though lol. In my defense, it was a birthday gift, because the Super Bowl was on my birthday (as you know)

I feel like only women and kids wear Gronk, Edelman and Brady lol.

Give me Chandler Jones, Jamie Collins, and Hightower plz. I've been slacking with my jerseys tho

Cowboys have only had a select few great defensive players in the past decade or so, I mean, I have a Demarcus Ware jersey but i really can't see myself getting another defensive players jersey. Oh yeah, I think people wearing jerseys of players they didn't even get to see play is weird.

In other news, Cowboys just signed former 1st rounder AJ Jenkins. We need a kick returner with Harris leaving and Jenkins has the speed and burst to be just that. Also, I wouldn't mind putting him in the slot from time to time. I know he's struggled so far throughout his career but Romo's by far the best QB he's had throw him the ball so far in his career.

Not sure why having a QB jersey is for girls and kids. My 2 favorite players of all time are Favre and Manning so i have 2 Packers Favre jerseys and 1 Favre Vikings jersey. Then 2 Colts Manning Jerseys and 1 Broncos jersey.

Won't be buying any Lions jerseys till they can win a f---ing playoff game

since they are your all-time favorite players, i understand why you have their jerseys

but you must confuse a lot of ppl walking around rocking packer and viking jerseys when you're a LIONS fan lolol

i've got a white mitchell and ness tarkenton jersey.... and a white mitchell and ness chuck foreman jersey..... and a purple mitchell and ness paul krause jersey

and i got ALL of them for less than what they charge if you go to mitchell and ness.com ..............and yes, all 3 of them are real

Not really.... They play a lot of teams that didn't make the playoffs but you also play a lot of competitive teams too. For instance, opening up vs the Bears might look like a cake walk but a divisional game to open up the season, both teams are going to be hyped up wanting to start the season on a good note, I can already tell that's going to be a hard fought game. Chiefs/49ers might not be playoff caliber teams but they aren't teams that will lay down. Rams/Chargers are potential playoff teams this year imo that have improved this off season. Panthers have a stellar defense and proved last year despite having a s-----y record, they can compete with the best of the best on a good day. Lions also have a stellar defense with enough talent on offense to be among the top 10 in the league if Stafford can get his s--- together. Cards are another team with a really good defense, offense is a little questionable, I don't know how much more Palmer can hold up but that defense alone is going to make them competitive. Only "easy games" I see for the Packers is the Raiders, Vikings (depending on how Bridgewater progresses and if AP will be in the mix), & the 2nd Bears game (late in the season, if the Bears are out of playoff contention by then, should be an easy W).

So a Lions fan has 2 Packers jersies, 1 Vikings jersey and no Lions jersey?

    That makes sense.

So you're a season ticket holder but don't own 1 jersey for the team that you support and go to watch? Lol what do you wear to the games?
