The contact wasn't labeled "the deflator" that was a comment from McNally calling himself that, which isn't evidence of anything. Does that look bad? Sure but what does that May 2014 comment have to do with the AFC title game?

Also if you are still hanging on to when Brady switched phones or "destroyed his phone" you're r-----ed. That's the NFL/ESPN spin zone for you right there and you fed right into it. Again the NFL had Jastremski and McNally's phones, meaning they would have had any texts going to and from Brady. They didn't need his phone.

If I'm Brady and I don't have to I'm not giving up my phone for a rigged, witch hunt investigation where the NFL is leaking false info to slander your organization.

The NFL got their a--- kicked in this whole thing, but they still have their fans who ate up every lie they spit out and every headline that ESPN put out. It's sad that none of you actually read into anything, just took the NFL's word for it.

All of this for a fucken equipment violation. We've seen this with the Jets, where equipment guys messed with kicking balls in 09 with AJ Feeley and we saw the towel gate s--- with the Chargers a few years back. Why didn't any of those things launch into major investigations. Why wasn't anyone suspended for 4 games and their organizations stripped of multiple picks(including a 1st)?

Patriots aren't my team dude and I don't really give two s----s about the deflated balls story. You read up on it I assume not just because you refuse to believe the headlines but because Brady is your QB and thats your team. I spend my time reading up on my team. Had this happened to another team and their QB would you of read into any of it like you did this story?

For the record I have never thought it was that big a deal and never thought the Brady shouldve gotten suspended. I just didn't take the time to read up on it because I don't care. Not because I believe what the NFL tells me. If I was a pats fans I would probably be like you.

The NFL also wants you to watch their sport and believe their product is unaltered when if you take the time to read it there is a lot of points suggesting that the product the NFL, and other sports also, puts on may be altered in the favor of the outcomes the NFL wants.

I can respect your passion for your team and wanting to look further into the facts to defend your QBs innocence. The fact some of us don't know as much about the story as you may just be not that we buy what the NFL is telling us but maybe we just don't care anymore after 7 months.

I agree that deflategate is r-----ed and the most overblown irrelevant thing in the history of football, and that literally nobody should pay any attention to it.... but if people are gonna comment on it they should know what they're talking about

I'm not calling out every person who didn't read up on it though. But If you're gonna take a stance on it like that guy, know what you're talking about. That's literally all I'm asking. I have no problem with anyone who could care less or doesn't have time for it(this should be the case for everyone). I just don't like uninformed ppl who spew out ESPN headlines and don't fact check.

I'm not sure you come at me with this response if you didn't eat up what ESPN fed you, but ok.

@M.I.C. yeah I see how it works.

anyway, kam chancellor is still holding out. vikings are weak at strong safety and we could use him, plus pairing him with harrison smith would be awesome, but i don't picture us going after him.

it'll be interesting to see what happens with kam chancellor because i really don't see either side budging.

anyway, i think this opening game between the steelers and patriots will be high scoring. both of these teams have QB's who have won multiple superbowls and both have pretty good offenses as well. but the steelers are missing bell.....and the pats are at home...........so i think the pats win this one.

god i love week 1 of the nfl season......it's like a pre christmas!!!

Honestly surprised nobody is talking about this, but OTL released a report basically saying that the punishment for Deflategate was in response to the light punishments the Pats received in Spygate. Goodell also mentioned on Mike & Mike this morning that he'd be willing to reassess his role in the disciplinary hearings. I would paste it but it's about 27 pages long.

I actually think it's perfect timing. Again, OTL is an award winning show, I think it'd be ignorant not to at least check it out. It connects a lot of the dots in this situation.
