    I think Amendola will play.

Also the Pats cut Chris Harper after he fumbled that punt in the 4th quarter, which started the Broncos come back.

I was thinking the same thing myself. Would be a game worth watching if Manziel was starting.

He was playing better and better each start, he was fun to watch. I loved him in college and wanted to see him flourish in the NFL but he's just too immature.
I know it wont happen, but If Chip Kelly stays put in Philly, i'd love to see Chp try and make a move to get him.

Only the Browns lose a game like that.

Listen, the Pats lost the game fair and square. I keep seeing people on Facebook blaming the refs. It wasn't the refs.

There are awful calls in every single game in the NFL, namely pass interference. I've been saying it for years. It goes both ways.

    As far as holding?

Holding happens on every play, especially running plays.

There's no way they're going to call the majority of them.

The only ones they consistently call are pass rushing holds, and even those aren't called sometimes.

Anyways, what really killed the Patriots were three things, and none had anything to do with the losses of Edelman, Amendola, Gronk or Lewis.

    1. The linebackers flowing to the ball on stretch runs. They kept over pursuing, which leads to cut back lanes. Sure, you can blame the injuries to Hightower and Collins on this, because they are excellent against the run. But Mayo and Freeney are more than capable enough of not over pursuing. ESPECIALLY Mayo. This has NOTHING to do with speed or agility, it's flat out discipline. I would blame it on injuries, but I expect better from Mayo.

    2. Mile High is a b---- to play at. The Patriots have had an awful record there, and their defense was getting worn out from the thin air. The fact that we kept over pursuing, and leading to 5-7 yard runs, really wore them out. You could see them holding their hips and breathing heavy. I was telling my cousin that the Broncos were about to go off in the fourth quarter.

    3. The muffed punt by Harper. Huge turning point in the game. Nobody is talking about how huge of a play that was. Should I blame the injuries? No. Anyone can catch a d--- punt. Just watch it come in. Harper looked at the defenders instead of the ball. If he catches that ball, the Pats win, I'm convinced.

    4. Broncos played better in the fourth. Flat out made plays.

I don't think the Patriots' offense played bad. You scored 24 points on the NFL's best defense in their place. You had a 21-7 lead in the fourth. The defense played great for 3 1/2 quarters. Logan Ryan had the game of his life, while Malcolm Butler had the worst game of his season.

Good news is, none of these Pats' injuries are serious, and they'll all be back.

    Gronk 1-2 weeks
    Amendola 1 week
    Edelman- back by playoffs
    Hightower- 1-2 weeks
    Offensive line- all back
    Collins- back this week

This loss is the BEST thing for the Patriots' Super Bowl hopes. They needed this.

Every local news outlet is saying Tom Brady has never been so pissed off about a loss before. YES. I'd much rather that than 11-0.

It comes down to this... Can Denver beat a healthy Patriots' squad IN Foxboro in January?

I'm betting on no, but who knows.

Johnny needs a stable NFL franchise to flourish. Getting drafted by the f---ing Cleveland Browns is the worst possible thing that could happen to any young QB, but especially him.

I think a team like the Saints, Denver, Dallas, or a veteran team with a stable coach and aging QB would be perfect for Manziel. The kid has talent. He just needs stability.

    @Fitz

Nobody is talking about Harper and his fumbled punt? lol dude got cut today and everyone was talking about that(local radio) play being the clear game changer.

And my problem with the refs isn't what they don't call it's the ticky tack bs calls in KEY moments. The Chung hold and Gronk P.I. were garbage calls in huge spots, where the refs feel the need to inject themselves into the game and negate big plays from the Pats.

At the end of the day I'm not sweating the loss for basically the same reasons you noted. Lot of guys coming back and a couple weeks off for Gronk/Hightower mighty actually be beneficial for the playoff push. I never cared about the undefeated season, I care about home field throughout the playoffs for the Pats and that's about it.

I didn't really have an opportunity to listen to the radio today, I'm mostly going off of Facebook posts/comments. No one is really talking about Harper. They're talking about the refs.

People are talking about penalties in crucial moments, but the defense gave up big time plays in crucial moments.

I look more at the fact that Logan Ryan plays his best game, yet gives up a crucial deep pass, and Malcolm Butler gave up a huge pass too at a crucial moment.

Jerod Mayo had a GOD AWFUL game. Just watch this play, and find Mayo. I blame this play SOLELY on him. If he did his job, this would've only been a first down

Middle linebackers are supposed to watch the guards and pursue with the proper angles. Mayo was so bad at this last night. Whenever it was a stretch play, his angles were like he was running down a toss, and when there were tosses, he ran the angles like it was a stretch.

If you watch this specific play, Mayo runs down hill and pursues the back, and ends up getting clogged in the middle. He's supposed to run parallel to the line of scrimmage and cut off the hole made by the guards on the toss.

On a stretch, it's the opposite. The angle he took on this play would've been perfect, but instead, Mayo kept playing the stretches like f---ing tosses.

If Mayo takes the right angle on this place, Branch and Mayo make the tackle near the first down marker.

Don't get me wrong, the Broncos' line blocked this great, they sealed off the edge perfectly, and their down field blocking was exceptional... but Mayo, NEEDS to take the right angle on this play. That's what middle linebackers are supposed to do.

I don't get it, because I always consider Mayo to be extremely intelligent and a great pursuer and tackler.
