Browns and 49ers trade stalled by Kaps desired salary from what I'm reading. Teams are in agreement of draft picks but browns don't want to pay kaps almost 12 million.

My theory all along is that the Pats were planning to pay Malcom Butler, Dont'a Hightower and Jamie Collins instead of Chandler because he was gonna command too much $.

Chip Kellys offense from what ive read about and the little bit I've seen requires more accurate throws with anticipation. The two things Kaepernick hasn't developed well. Gabbert may be a better stop gap QB while they groom whoever they draft in May.

Patriots sign Chris Long

Hopefully, now they'll get James Lauranitis.

I definitely like the trade, even though I was a huge Chandler Jones fan. Now they'll be able to re-sign Butler, Collins and Hightower. The needed a draft pick, and needed help on the offensive line. Solid trade, and solid signing with Chris Long. Very happy. Now, just get Lauranitis, and you have a ton of depth at linebacker.

In the past week, the Pats have added 4 former first round picks through trades and free agency.

Jonathan Cooper G, 7th overall pick in the 2013 draft
Chris Long DE, 2nd overall pick in 2008 draft.
Donald Brown RB, 27th overall pick in 2009 draft (don't see this being a good pick up)
Shea McClellin LB, 19th overall pick in 2012 draft.

Not to mention gaining one of the best TE's in the game in Martellus Bennett, and a 2nd round pick.

And my boy Scarneccia is back.
