I literally cant come up with any other scenario than Seattle vs New England right now.

I'm not going to be able to handle the pure misery I'll feel if the Pats lose, with these high expectations.

Dont know why that game is being overlooked, that was basically a playoff game for Baltimore. Pats ran all over them, got after Flacco and forced a bunch of turnovers including 2 Flacco picks. Basically did what everyone is saying they wont be able to do this weekend(force turnovers and run the ball).

Last years Baltimore team is a lot more similar then the team they won with in terms of personnel.

The Cowboys have an asterisk next to anything they achieve this year from here on out. I'd low key want them to lose if I was a Cowboys fan. Embarrassing.

that was such an easy call to make to, these NFL Refs are a f---ing joke two huge calls missed and they come out and say they got them wrong like it means something foh.

Because 2 plays make up an entire game, right? Lmao. The amount of controversey this game is getting is unbelievable, Lions blew it. Bad calls went both ways.

Lions obviously wouldn't have blown it tho if the refs could do their job lol. Btw, The bad calls against Dallas werent nearly as obvious OR critical.

A bad call is a bad call. Cowboys over came them, good football teams do that. Even with the bad calls aside Lions still completely blew the game.

It wasn't just two calls early in the game. It was two calls with under 9 minutes left in the game. The PI non call would have extended the drive and most likely would have made it a two (or 3?) possession game, and the other holding call they missed on 4th down would have ended the game right there. The real problem is the NFL changing up the referee staffs for the wild card round. You wouldn't stick a team that was just assembled out there to play, so why would they do that with the officials.

This excuse doesn't apply when the TWO plays the refs ADMITTEDLY f----- up, literally directly changed the outcome of the game, like that's an actual fact.

I'm a DIEHARD Lions fan, and I'm not the least bit upset at the Cowboys for the loss. Any team in the league would take the playoff win under whatever circumstances. The Lions got screwed on calls, and so did Dallas. The timing of the Lions getting screwed may have been worse, but the fact remains that there were blatantly obvious calls blown on both sides. As a fan of Detroit, I wanted the PI, but as a fan of the sport that was one of those "Just let them play" moments. Pettigrew want going to catch that ball, because Stafford threw it about 18" too low. Had the defender turned to play the ball it probably would have been intercepted. It was poorly thrown, and beyond that Caldwell should have went for it on 4th and 1, and yes, I was saying that before the punt. However! The fact that the PI was there, and a flag was thrown, the penalty was announced, and the ball was moved, makes me feel as a fan of the sport, that there is no excuse for the call not standing. There were less obvious calls (Hands to the face, defensive holding), but the flag wasn't thrown for those reasons, therefore they are irrelevant. Anyone can look at 90% of the plays in the NFL and point out multiple penalties, but once the process of enforcing a penalty is complete (starting with throwing the flag, and finishing with placing the ball) there is no excuse for that penalty to not be enforced.

The Suh hold was there, I called it live, as well as #77 holding on the TD (Less obvious, borderline nitpicking out of frustration from the "no flag"), but just like every other play being mentioned, no flag was thrown. If no flag is thrown then it just gets chalked up to a missed opportunity. It's upsetting, but its not favoritism. Dallas fans have a right to b---- about the lack of a running into the Kicker call, and the running into the returner...The refs may have viewed the running into the Kicker as a result of how the defender was being blocked, fine, it's a tough call, but there was no blocking going on when the returner called fair catch, and was ran into. Granted, he should have sold it better, but regardless, there was plenty of time to spot momentum before our defender reached him.

As far as Dez Bryant, by rule they say its up to the discretion of the referee. He was fired up, he was yelling, he was on the field without a helmet...But he was still surprisingly calm by Dez Bryant's standards. He's a passionate player, and I have no problem with having a player like that get upset over a flag that is thrown, in the playoffs, that never should have been thrown. If he was hostile towards the ref, especially with the controversy surrounding everything right now, then we would be hearing about a fine, or suspension by the NFL to try to make amends by way of something better than an apology for missing a later play.

Ultimately the Lions may, or may not, have gotten shafted by the call. Who knows? They could have continued the drive, settled for a FG, and then gave up a game winning drive to Dallas for a 24-23 loss. They could have fumbled, or thrown an INT the very next play, and everything could have played out exactly like it did from the punt (Field position and all) until the final second of the game. No one knows, but one thing is for sure. The Lions, even with the lead, were playing with their backs against the wall before that flag. They couldn't get anything going, and from then1st quarter all the way up to that roughly 8 minute mark in the 4th they weren't doing anything, but protecting the lead. Even after...Stafford fumbles, we get lucky and its fumbled right back, just to give it away again.

Long story short: Bad officiating on both sides, poor play in one half mixed with good play in the other (For BOTH teams), and playing to not lose, rather than playing to win, cost the Lions the game. Momentum is a big factor in sports, and the Cowboys stole any chance at the Lions carrying 1st half momentum into the 3rd quarter on Detroit's very first offensive play of the half. If thebPI went Detroit's way then Dallas would have a legitimate b----, too. Detroit lost the game more so than Dallas won it, but ultimately Dallas still won it. Not the refs, not the NFL, not the media (Well, yeah, the media got a pretty big win out of it, too)...Dallas won.

It was a bad call, but it didn't effect the outcome.

Lions stopped being aggressive in the 2nd half, and started playing not to lose, instead of trying to win. They were extremely conservative on both sides of the ball, and Dallas was WAY more aggressive.

That's why the Lions lost. They SHOULD have won the game, but they went away from what brought them success in the first half. They really have no one else to blame but themselves.

Feel the exact same way even had the Lions won and Cowboys were in their position. Me and Riley both said during the game that the Cowboys deserved to lose that game because we gave up so many oppurtunities earlier on.
