I don't know how people can say the call definitely didn't affect the outcome, we'll never know for sure. Lions could have driven down the field, got a TD and had sky high confidence the rest of the game and played a lot better. The call seemed to mess up their focus mentally which sure is partly their fault, but my point is things could have been a lot different had the Lions kept the ball there.

Sick of talking about it tbh but imo it's a huge shame whenever the refs are the main story after a big playoff game, hate that. This is the NFL's fault for not keeping ref crews together for the playoffs, apparently they mixed them up based off who they thought did well this season so the refs had no experience working together.

Go back two years ago, Packers vs Seahwaks, last play was a CLEAR interception but seahawks were given the TD with no time left, and we lost by a point.

THATS A BAD CALL, THAT IS GETTING JOBBED.

By rule the refs made the right call in that situation. It was an overlooked scenario when the rule was made, but it was reviewed multiple times, including the next day by the Officiating Department, and ruled that the correct call was made...In the Lions/Cowboys case not only has it been ruled that the correct call WASN'T made, but also that there were multiple penalties that at the very least should have offset, and replayed the down. Fault the rules, not the refs, for the Tate catch against the Packers, but the refs got it wrong against the Lions.

Alright, but..

We had no opportunity to play after that call, NOT ONE PLAY.

The lions had opportunities. They failed. Ill say this, if the packers scored 3 points in the second half and lost by 4, i would blame THEM and only them

Don't know why people keep saying this though, has nothing to do with officiating. The Lions blowing chances doesn't make the calls any better.

*edit* If we're saying they didn't 'deserve' the win cuz they didn't play well then you could easily argue the Cowboys didn't deserve the win either. So I don't see why people keep bringing that up about the Lions when the calls are brought up.

Youre missing the point. Officitaing screws up EVERY GAME. My problem is Detroit Lions fans blaming the loss on the refs. They scored 3 points in the second half and blew a 14-0 lead. Even after that bad call, they had a 4th and 1. They tried to draw offsides, took the delay of game, and shanked a punt. THATS THEIR FAULT lmao. And then, they couldn't stop a 4th and 6. How in the f--- could anybody say or think otherwise. This loss was the LIONS fault

Once again, the Lions making stupid plays doesn't change the calls either way. No one's arguing the Lions don't deserve blame for those bad plays, I don't see how that has anything to do with what we're talking about though. Yes the Lions might have lost the game even without those calls but there's no way of knowing for sure. Also once again if we're saying the Lions played awful and didn't deserve the win, well the same could be said for Dallas who played terrible for the most part too.

Also no the refs don't mess up several crucial calls every game all favoring one team if that's what you're trying to say.

I personally think it's fair for Lions fans to be pissed about these calls, doesn't mean their team couldn't have closed the game out better but the calls were still awful and all the big ones seemed to go against Detroit even though some Cowboy fans apparently disagree.

Im actually not super confident tbh because of that. But still its weird to me Ravens fans dont remember that game last year where they needed to win to get into the playoffs in week 16 and got mopped up by 5 TD's, at home. Just because that wasnt a playoff game doesnt mean it wasnt just as important as one.
