lol I'm starting to think no one ever agrees with Timmy about football stuff on here, myself included a lot of the time and we're even both fans of the same team.

He only did good in Philly for a short period of time until the league figured him out. He runs the same 6-8 plays a game, half the wins he got in Philly came from special teams touchdowns. He's stubborn and won't adapt, no matter where he goes, he's not going to find much success.

Rex Ryan made 2 straight AFC Championship games and he's an awful head coach at the NFL level. He only benefited from Eric Mangenius' drafts.

Chip Kelly dismantled the Eagles' talent, and he minimized their talent on the defensive side of the ball with the hurry up offense.

Imagine if he didn't trade away all of their assets and if he was a half way decent coach, how much better they would've been in those years.

Just look at this year if you want reassurance.

Chip Kelly, at best, is a good offensive coordinator at the NFL level. He shouldn't be a head coach.

With this roster I don't know if even Harbaugh would be doing better. I wasn't a fan of the Kelly hiring, I wanted Hue Jackson, and I was very loud and obvious on here about that. I've accepted that I have to be patient and give Kelly a fair chacne once Baalke is fired. Once that happens, Gamble will be promoted to GM and Kelly will get more say in roster. Our defense is too young and raw. They're full of potential but right now thats all it is because it's not translating to performance on the field yet. I respect Kelly and the reputation that he's an offensive genius as they call him. Better football minds than anyone here have shown respect for Kellys offensive mind, such as Coughlin and Bill Belichick, so I'll take their work for it. I just wanted Hue because he runs a more pro proven style offense.

Yeah I remember those conversations. I remember when Harbaugh was first fired, I read alot of leaked reports about how Harbaugh was with the FO. He would walk through the facility and not talk to anyone and would repeatdly tell Baalke and Jed York to basically go f--- themselves. So I understood why they got rid of him from the perspective. If you, I, or anyone else told our boss that we'd grt fired too regardless of our performance. But now it sounds like it was completely different from what was told at first.
Harbaugh was stubborn AF and you could see the team was at times unprepared to start big games. Like the NFCC vs Atl and the super bowl. And the delay of penalties my god I don't miss all those. But in the end Jed fired the wrong guy and now I fear we will become just like what happened to the Cowboys when Jerry ran out Jimmy.
Either way Kelly isn't going anywhere, Baalke better get fired this year. Next year I predict it will be the Kelly and Gamble show, we'll have a top 10 pick in all likelihood, and I believe we're estimated to have around 65-70 million in cap space. I gotta believe better days are coming.

when you guys had mike singletary.....his roster/talent level was very similar to what harbaugh had. and harbaugh obviously got a lot more out of the team--so that was obviously a good coaching change.

but chip's current roster isn't even CLOSE to what harbaugh had. obviously harbaugh did great while he was there, but his roster was loaded as well.

i'm not some super chip kelly fan/supporter----i'm more neutral towards him right now---but this all started because soilder said chip is a 'joke' and his track record so far definitely doesn't suggest that.

f---in hyped for the game today, heading to the bar in a bit here. I think it's a bigger challenge than most people are expecting, Houston isn't easy. If the Vikes are themselves though they should be able to win. I'm thinking pretty low scoring, probably 20 to 12 or something like that.

Curious to keep an eye on some of the other games too, want to see if Philly keeps it up(I think they will) and how Brady does(torn between a huge 4 TD day, or a below average Tom day..not sure what to expect).
