Romo the most under-appreciated and under-valued star quarterback of all time. The stats prove this. He never had postseason success, but the man truly has HoF-worthy stats and deserves a jacket at some point down the road.

Was always my childhood hero since the time I can remember. Grew up loving him. Will miss seeing him with the star.

    Thanks, 9.

Stats or w/l's doesn't really matter how the comparison goes lol. We've been through this before. Romo's career numbers are better than Mcnabb's. He has a positive head-to-head record vs Mcnabb including beating him in the post season. Their career winning percentage is the same (61%). The only difference is Mcnabb had a really good defense for several years which allowed him to make numerous runs in the post season.

Romo's numbers aren't better though? Mcnabb has more yards and TDs, with a lot less talent on the offensive side of the ball than Romo. Mcnabb has more wins overall, and has won like triple the amount of playoff games than Romo has even played in (9). Plus 3,000 more yards running than Romo.

Don't do this to yourself boos lol. More yards and TD's if you combine rushing and passing stats. Romo was never a duel threat QB, you know this lol. Romo has more passing TD's than McNabb. That's not to mention Mcnabb played in 34 more games than Romo (~2 seasons more) so Romo is at the disadvantage here and still edges him out. Mcnabb played on numerous great teams in the early 2000's on both the offense and defensive side of the ball. That's why he's played and won more post season games.

i agree with you, and i love romo

obviously, the texans have a lot of good pieces in place and QB is the one position they desperately need to improve.

but romo is up in age now, he hasn't been able to stay healthy in recent years, and he'd had to learn a new system and fit in with a whole new locker room

so yeah, as much as i like him......it probably wouldn't be worth it for the texans to sign him

Nice piece on the D line. Love the move. Cox, Long, and Timmy gonna be a force on that side of the ball.

Ultimately, I think they were both great QBs in the league, but fall short of the HOF

Nah, they both deserve to get in. Bruh, Warren Moon is in the HoF. They can make room for Mcnabb and Romo lol

Yes. McClain is alright. He's a decent player that's best served as a rotational player. He didn't play too well last season but years before that he's been serviceable. More of a run stopper than he is a pass rusher.

Also yeah, Romo retirement is bittersweet. Glad he's a career cowboy, sad he never got one last shot at a ring cuz few dudes deserve it more in my eyes. I've said it before but he's without a doubt my favorite athlete of all time and it's hard to believe the Romo era is actually over, officially. Gunna miss #9
