I mean... this doesn't really say much lol. Our entire D Line was pretty bad last season. He made plays here and there but I never thought he was super productive or anything. Irving was really the only D-Linemen who played exceptionally well last season imo. Also, that guy we signed from Cleveland, Stephen Paea, he's going to be a big improvement from McClain.

Yeah idk man let's agree to disagree. TM had a good year. Good run stopper (on a D that was pretty good against the run overall) and rarely messed up gap assignments. Wasn't piling up sacks or anything but that's not really his role. He was steady.

Irving showed flashes, but he was so hot and cold. If he can pull it all together, and have some consistency to his game, he'll be a beast. Till then, he's a decent player that occasionally plays like a maniac.

Average at best? Nah. He's consistently average and I'll take a guy who can consistently come and at least make some sort of impact. According to pro football focus he's only had one bad season:

Thank God Romo didn't go to Texans. That's the only team that semi-scared me

You think either them deserve to get in the HoF? They certainly got arguments with previous QB's who've gotten in. Obviously there's Dan Marino who never got a ring but even besides him you have Warren Moon who never even made it to a conference championship. You have Dan Fouts who only has 3 playoff wins. You have Archie Manning who's career winning percentage is ~26% and threw more TD's than interceptions only twice in his 15 year career.

Neither of them deserve it. And I don't think neither of them will make either

Do you think the guys I mentioned in that post deserve to be in the HoF? (Marino, Moon, Fouts, Manning)

    Marino, easily.

The other 3 are kinda debate-able.....but having Fouts, Manning and Moon in the hall isn't eye-brow raising.

Here's the thing: if you have to think about it......then they probably shouldn't be in. With McNabb and Romo....you have to think about it

That's pretty inconsistent logic though. There's a very good argument for both Romo and Mcnabb being better than Fouts, Moon and Manning. Manning is kind of hard to compare/contrast because he played in a drastically different era but still.... Archie won just 27% of his football games (Mcnabb and Romo both won 61% of their games). He never played in a playoff game lol. His TD/interception ratio is horrendous. Kind of hard to let a guy like that in and not let Romo/Mcnabb in.

It's not going to be a perfect system.

Donovan won a lot because he had good teams during most of his years with the Eagles. No way you can watch McNabb play and think OMG that guy totally deserves to be in the hall. He's very clearly on the fence.

Romo was good too but he didn't knock your socks off either.

You gotta keep in mind that the number 1 criteria for the hall is how good the individual player was. Yes, if they won a ring matters.....but it doesn't matter as much as how good they were as an individual player

That's how it should be but that's not reality. Team accomplishments certainly count just as much if not more when determining whether players get into the HoF. Or at least just for QB's (which makes this process even more dumb). Again though, there's a very good argument to be made for Romo and McNabb being better than Manning, Fouts and Moon though. So I don't get how Romo and Mcnabb are questionable but the other three are fine.

MARSHAWN LYNCH INTENDS TO SIGN WITH THE OAKLAND RAIDERS BABY!!!

Edit: well, if the Seahawks release him that is. Hopefully we don't have to trade and take on his and Sherman's contracts. Lynch might be worth it, but they can keep Sherman.
