Good game! Dak started off kind of shakey but got it together. Defense played outstanding! If we can sustain that kind of defensive play, we'll go deep in the post season. 1-0!

For Giants fans, this game should tell you that you need to move on from Eli sooner rather than later. Regardless if OBJ isn't out there, great QB's make other players stand out. Eli has struggled to do that for a long time now. It's kind of ridiculous when you think about it: Eli hasn't really played all that well since his last super bowl run (2011). It doesn't matter how many sub par seasons he plays though -- he's already locked in for the HoF. It shouldn't be like that but it is.

Cowboys defense looked very good, Cowboys offense looked good but not great. Zeke looked amazing, and besides Dak's early overthrows, I think we'll look better in the coming weeks... the Giants defense always gives us trouble. But an easy, methodical win. Good start to the season.

Wasn't pretty but the D stepped up late when we needed it and that front 7 alone could win us some games this year. Wentz looks a lil rusty but there still has to be some chemistry built between him, Alshon, and Torrey. Not worried yet. Darby going down is a huge blow but Robinson really balled out and Mills looked very solid, CB spot is gonna be interesting next week, guess we'll get to see what Rasul Douglas is made of. Hopefully Sidney Jones will be taking the field soon as well.

All in all, it was a win against a team we haven't been able to beat too often in the last few years. Doug's playcalling is very iffy and the run game wasn't looking good but it's only the first game. I would have liked to seen Mack Hollins in more and for Smallwood and Clement to get more touches on the ground, we didn't run the ball enough but we completely controlled TOP which is huge in winning games. I think we were something like 7-2 last year when we controlled the ball for 30+ minutes.

All I know though is that if I see one more bubble screen to Agholor I'll lose my mind. Kid f---ing balled out today though and I'm so happy for him after the atrocity of a season he had last year.

Glad to see Agholor actually hold on to the ball. Losing Darby sucks, and we should run more, especially with Blount adding size to our run game.

I feel like there's some kinks that need to work out but we'll be solid after that.

@TimmyT , I feel like the Vikes need to win today cuz winning @ Pittsburgh next week will be even more difficult now I have a feeling with Bell doing nothing today, and the team barely hanging on to beat Cleveland.

Bell's gonna wanna go off and have a huge game, I'm already worried lol...If Brees lights us up tomorrow, we are f----- and probably gonna be 0-2.

With that said I know this post sounds pessimistic, but I do expect them to beat the Saints today. Plus who knows, if the Vikes D plays as well as they can(but didn't the last 10 weeks last year..) then they can stop anyone.

@Kon i agree. its important we get off to a good start.

to me, the saints aren't that good of a TEAM. but they have brees who is obviously a great QB, so that always gives you a chance.

i think the key for the vikings is to run the ball and keep brees off the field. and seeing how bad the saints defense is....we are definitely capable of doing that.

to me, this season is sort of a new era for the vikings. for a long time, their identity (strength) has been the running game.

but things have changed and now we'll have to figure out what our identity is on offense. i'm so excited. i'm getting everything ready right now!

Anyone else have the feeling Adrian Peterson is going to have a 100+ yard rushing game? Definitely a little excited for the game tonight. I need 52 points between Diggs, Theilen and the Vikings defense. Ik it probably won't happen but there's a chance. @Kon you think I have a shot at winning fantasy with those 3 needing 52 points and the guy I'm playing is out of players.
