    watson expected to remain the starter.

    the agent of tom savage said it made no sense for the Texans to bench tom savage after only 31 plays.

    It's not just the 31 plays that were taken into effect. Dude has been on this team for 4 years, started in 6-7 games, and has never made it past mediocrity. He hasn't even thrown a td pass.

    yeah i know, but his agent seems to believe it was crazy that they pulled him so soon in week 1 vs. the jags

    to me, its a tough decision on who to start. on one hand, a guy like savage has obviously underachieved. but on the other hand, watson is just a rookie.

    Tom Savage is a loser. He's from around my area and his dad held him back two years in 8th so he'd have a competitive advantage when he got to high school

    I agree, it is a tough decision. But O'Brien didn't wanna have a repeat of last year when it took him almost to the end of the season to realize a lackluster qb (Osweiler) needed to be benched. Plus Savage isn't a Rick Smith pet project like Osweiler was so O'Brien has more leadway.
