They already picked up Barr's option for 2018 which is around 12 mill, they can actually save cap space this year if they lock him into a longer deal at a lesser rate per year, I hope they can make that happen..not just for cap space, but to lock him up.

I can't really imagine they let Diggs go, but yeah they'll probably have to lose a key player at some point due to the Cousins deal..but worth the risk imo. Hope for sure they can keep Kendricks, Barr and Diggs though.

Draft an o lineman in the 1st round hopefully, loving this offseason so far. :emoji_thumbsup:

I know I’m late but can we talk about how incredible joe Thomas was throughout his career?

He was elite in every sense of the word. The lowest grade he got in his career was 86.0 which according to PFF’s scale is considered “high quality.” First ballot HoFer easy.

True legend .I remember when he was drafted out of Wisconsin he turned down the invite to NYC for the draft. He was out fishing with his dad when Browns were trying to call him to tell him he was drafted.

Also Danny Woodhead retired. Loved this guy too. Lol at the Jets for cutting him and then going on to NE .
Also, this man was never called forfo penalty in his career. Not a single one.

Was figuring that'd probably be the week 1 game.

Not a bad thing from the Vikings perspective, maybe Wentz will still be out by then plus it'll give them a chance at some redemption from last year right off the bat. Even if they lose, oh well at least one of the year's toughest games is out of the way.

But man both of the d-lines in that game are gonna be insane lol, will be fun.

Sherman is so salty he signed a terrible deal and now he has his hands in other people's pockets ripping Bradham's deal. He needs to shut his washed up a--- up. Lost a lot of respect with his recent comments

I agree he should keep quiet about other players contracts, but how did he sign a bad contact? During negotiations with SF, he called Seahawks and Lions and they said they couldn't match that money. So he took the best contract offered to him.

Yeah I don’t think Sherman will even be worth the money 49ners gave him. Idk if he can stay healthy a full season and he’s just not the same athlete as the LOB prime days.

Obviously some stupid franchise may have ended up offering more money if he waited it out longer but idk. I wouldn’t want him on my team just because he still believes he’s elite and a top safety in the league. Plus the mouth he has on him would only drag the team down imo. He’ll want to be the leader over jimmy.

Shut the f--- up timmy you know what I meant. His old a--- is going to have to transfer to safety within the next 2 years. He can’t cover a young wideout 1 on 1. He got embarrassed last year by some no name wideouts. This is your big hero, though right? This loud mouth? How did your all mighty teddy bridewater turn out? I still remember you on sl calling teddy the next Warren Moon.

I’m just going off the reports that it’s mostly incentive based. It’s being reported that he left a few million on the table by negotiating it himself without an agent. I think he’s a smart guy and trying to pave a new way for players,! but I think the reports are getting to him with his recent comments

Is Sherman really washed up? Thought he was as good as he's ever been, one of the top CBs in the league. Time will tell if he's as good coming back from injury of course.

He's one of the best DBs in the league in the cover 3 scheme. He's the prototype mold DB for that scheme. However, he was able to take lots of risks because of Earl Thomas. It will be intresting to see how good he is or isn't without him back there to cover all that ground. Coming off the that type of injury can be devastating for a player. With that said, Sherman never made a living on his athletic ability. Its his size, and football IQ that should allow him to come back and still be a very good DB. He reads formations and concepts better than anyone. He can process the play so quick its insane and that allows him to always be in position to make a play. I don't think he'll be All pro shut down as he was. That Richard Sherman is gone, but that was an all time great DB for a 3 year stretch. He can still be a very good DB.

Reports always will come out because the system is to use an agent. He bet on himself which he had to do. No team was going to give him the money he can earn in SF in guaranteed money. If they could he would of gone there. He said himself and it's been conforcon, he negotiated in SF but before he signed he called the teams that contacted him and they wouldn't match SFs offer. Agents may have got some more $ but then they get their part of it.

Now I agree this could start other players from doing their own deals, but not every player should. Sherman is a very educated player and one of the few stars that could do his own deal. Most players in pro sports need agents and should use them.
