Holy s---... what a mess of a post this is. For starters, it absolutely matters that Brady has been playing top notch football for the past 2 years. When I say that I mean, the last two seasons have been some of the best seasons of Brady’s career & that’s with him being in his late 30s. Brady should have already been declining if not retired by now but he’s defying the odds. He may start to decline this year, who knows but based on recent performance, there’s no indication that he’s losing a step.

Secondly, suggesting that Brady can’t be the best QB in the league because the Patriots lost the super bowl is entirely idiotic. You know this game is a team sport. Nonetheless, the Eagles were just a surperior team, offensively & defensively. It wasn’t like Nick Foles played like s--- either. He had one of the best Super Bowl performances by a QB in recent memory.

I have to disagree with Timmy when he said ranking Carson 9 isn't a big deal because there isn't a big difference in QBs....any given year there are 2-3 QBs VASTLY superior to the rest. And 9 times out of 10 they're the same two people.

Wentz was the best QB in football last year on a per game basis. Putting him below Luck is LAUGHABLE any way you slice it.

The lack of a true #1 WR was a concern for me at first too but thinking about it, I think they can make it work. They’re trying to surround Dak with a lot of speedy WRs that can get a bunch of YAC. Receivers that he can throw quick slants to & they can take it 10+ more yards. Garrett & Linehan I think quickly realized last season that Romo’s strengths aren’t Dak’s strengths. Romo’s ability to push the ball down the field with percision/consistency isn’t something Dak is very good at yet. He’s growing so I think they’re defintley going to switch it up this season. You’re going to see more variety from the offense. A lot of different WRs getting touches, screens, Zeke out the backfield etc.

One thing Dez was right about last year & even previous years was that our offense was predictable. Same guys lined up in the same spot week in & week out. And when you have a QB like Romo, you can get away with that because he’ll find the open man if you give him time. Romo was always instinctively good like that. Dak isn’t quite there so they needed to change it up.

So guys whats the most bare essential affordable way I can get football this season? Just moved into a new place and don't have cable atm. I don't watch tv. Tryna save money and just get football. I think I read Sunday ticket only gets you out of market games? And game pass you don't even get games live lol...

I could just r/nflstreams but I don't wanna do that all season and deal with shoddy quality

Wentz>Luck, especially Luck at this point.

Wentz did more in half a season than Luck’s done his whole d--- career so far.

This can be easily flipped. Wentz was drafted into a team that was/is immensely better than any team Luck has ever played on. Wentz hasn’t even played in a playoff game guys lol. I’m not taking away anything from what Wentz did last year. He was undeniably great but in this league, consistency matters so much.

Uh okay well if you wanna play it that way, that can be easily flipped on you too.

so Luck playing in what was pretty easily the worst division in football 2-3 years ago and getting a d--- near guaranteed playoff spot puts him ahead of Wentz, who would’ve likely been MVP?

    Yeah not to me..

Luck was a ‘guaranteed elite franchise QB’ who so far...hasn’t lived up to the hype.

Like you guys realize that list is about who is currently better, right? So the guy who contributed as much to his team last year as all of us is somehow better than the guy who would’ve been MVP and who’s team won the super bowl?

Yeah that makes a lot of sense.. Timmy’s whole argument bout how it’s ‘currently’ hurts his case more than it helps it tbh lol.

An article came out today where Luck admitted he wasn’t sure he’d ever be himself again, so we’re supposed to automatically assume he’s a top QB again based off nothing last year and a serious injury he wasn’t sure he’d ever recover from?

    Lmao gimme a break.

This is the whole point I was making, but I had to stick to my super fan persona, so people usually don’t take what I have to say about the eagles seriously lol

Already making excuses for when dak flops this year and the cowboys move on from him.
Great qb’s make receivers. I can’t wait to hear the excuses when he flat out sucks.

The only reason Indy was “gaurenteed a playoff spot” in that division a couple years ago was because of Andrew Luck. Outside of Luck, the Colts were just as bad as the rest of those teams in that division. Luck has played top notch football d--- near every year he’s played in Indy. The problem isn’t him & it’s never been him. Idk how you guys don’t see that.

This list isn’t solely based off last season though. If it was solely based off last year’s performance, they wouldn’t have ranked Wilson 5th when he had the 11th highest grade among QBs last season. Nor would they have ranked Aaron Rodgers 2nd when he had the 10th highest grade among QBs last season. They look at their careeers as a whole & see how consistent they are. Hence why Jimmy G who had the 4th highest overall grade last season is ranked 11th & Alex Smith who had the 7th highest overall grade last season is ranked 15th. Consistency really matters.

Also, just to put in some context: Wentz’s overall grade last season was 84.9 (6th best) & easily the best season he’s had in his very short career. Luck’s overall grade in 2016 was 90.4 (4th best) & the best season he’d had in his short career as well. Both of them are recovering from very serious injuries so they both have question marks coming into this season. It’s not unfathomable to rank the QB who’s shown consistency & a higher ceiling ahead.

I’ll be first to tell you Dak isn’t a great QB lol. I’ve been pretty vocal about that. I don’t expect him to be a great QB any time soon. He has a lot of growing to do.

Never said Luck was the problem with the Colts, don’t think anyone else said that either.

You’re comparing him to other elite QBs, just saying to me he’s not currently at that level and he’s much more of an unknown than a Brady, Rodgers, Brees or even Wentz for that matter.

lol Philly wins the SB one time and acts like his team is the one that gets there every year and has won 5. Pats are Vegas favorites to win their 3rd SB in 5 years.

Remember when the Sixers busted out the confetti after a game they lost? has the city gotten over that yet? Tough to come back from lol

It’s obvious patriots are now on a decline and you would have to be a die hard blinded patriots fan to try and deny it. Their run is over (with most years being caught cheating or in some sort of scandal.) Patriots just don’t have any great offensive weapons for Brady except gronk, but he’s only good for about 6-7 games a year until he gets hurt. Players have to tackle him around his knee area. His career will be a short one and basically admitted to hate playing for belichick.
