Both overrated. I wouldn't even draft a QB in the first round if we being honest.

I guess you missed the NFL combine and the last 2 years of college football. It's Winston. If a team wanted to trade away the next 2 or 3 years of their picks to move up, then maybe I trade if I'm the Bucs, but they have NEVER had an elite QB. They have to get one now, even if it doesn't work, you must take a shot.

Everything Winston has done is so petty. I find it comical that ESPN keeps the debate alive when we all know his off the field incidents are nothing. I didn't see the Steelers get rid of Big Ben after he r---d TWO girls. Or the Lakers get rid of Kobe. Honestly, there's a laundry list of athletes who have far worse personal issues, but I'm tired of naming them. In America, only 1 thing matters and that is WINNING. The kid is a natural born winner.

Winston isn't a good quarterback. He has a strong arm, but it's not that accurate and he isn't that smart. He is Jamarcus Russell 2.0. If I'm Tampa I go with Dante Fowler Jr. That kid is going to be a stud linebacker in the NFL. Get a QB like Garrett Grayson in the 2nd round. He probably will end up being the best QB in this draft when it's all said and done.

Winston will probably last in the league longer than Russell but he will be out of it faster than Vince Young was.

Both are overrated currently and neither will (probably) end up being a great NFL quarterback, although Winston's stock seems to be rising and Mariota's seems to be falling. Winston might end up going #1 and Mariota will end up around #5-#7

Based on your response, this is the same debate about JJ Watt being MVP. A defensive player will never have the same impact on a game as a QB. Grayson is a reach but it's not like you'll ever be held to that opinion. The only debate is Winston vs Mariota. Or would you take Jay Cutler plus some draft picks if you were the Bucs?

I believe Winston will last at least 5 years with the Bucs as there will not be a QB controversy. He will be aloud to fail for at least 3 years, and that defense alone will keep them at .500, thus keeping his career alive and well.

Winston will be an absolute bust imo. Like others have said, Jamarcus Russell 2.0. Mariota will be much better, but not great either. I see him basically being another Colin Kaepernick, which would still be a huge upgrade over what Tampa Bay currently has.

If I had to guess what will happen: Winston will go #1 to Tampa and bust. Tennessee will gamble and stick with Locker/Mettenberger and Mariota will fall to around #5-9.

You're right they probably won't. It'll be interesting to see what the Rams will do if he falls to #10. I personally think Bradford is a bust and they need to move on.

Im assuming it will be either Winston or Mariota but neither of them will help out the teams instantly. I believe it takes a supporting cast for a rookie QB to succeed and since there is very little of that they will be average to below average.

And by the way, I don't want the Eagles to trade up for Mariota. I'd rather give Foles one more chance and use this draft to fix our secondary.

I'm not sure where they rank, but the Bucs and Titans have decent to above average defenses if i'm not mistaken. Both teams are in desperate team of a play maker on offense and this is their opportunity.

A QB is only as good as his health. STL needs to move on.

If Tampa takes Winston it will be a step sideways for them. It will just be another 3-4 years of a good defense wasted by a horrible offense. They have some decent receivers and potential at running back but Winston is going to fail big time in the NFL. If they were to go offense in the first round, they should trade down and get a lineman. I'd still go with either Fowler or Williams if I was them at #1.

Tampa has Mike Evans, that would be a huge benefit to Winston, just like he was to Manziel, and just like Benjamin was to Winston at FSU. Not enough to make him elite, but he would have a big, playmaking WR like he has already proven to be able to use effectively.

I personally don't see him being anything more than a mid-tier at best QB, but Tampa does seem to be the best fit for him...I still wouldn't say he's the best fit for them though. I'd be looking at defense.
