Maybe the Caps can surprise in game 7, hard to believe they'll go down easy although it certainly looks like momentum's favored towards the Rangers right now. Getting the 1st goal in game 7 would be huge for Washington.

Hope the Flames can keep their series alive here, they're about to get a power play now.

Does anyone know when the dates of the Ducks vs Blackhawks will be announced?

Cheapest tickets are $90 which is not to bad. I'm not worried about getting an amazing view, I just wanna go for the atmosphere!

^^Glad the other DC teams are f---ing up too. Nothing worse than seeing Caps "fans" just fall back on the Nats or Wizards as a defense mechanism for dealing with this.

Heck of a series but the Caps obviously blew it since they were up 3-1. Great game 7, was hoping the Caps would have won but I figured NY would.

To be fair, he rarely ever had much to work with in Nashville. I'm hardly well versed in their history, but I doubt they had 2-3 teams that were even capable of making a cup run in the first place. He has a ways to go before his ability to lead a team deep into the playoffs gets questioned.

This season far exceeded expectations and there's more to look forward to than there is to be depressed about. I just hope that ANOTHER loss to the Rangers in game 7 (of all f---ing teams... would be fine losing to almost anyone else) doesn't shake the morale of the group.

There were a couple teams that should have made a deep run. 05-06,06-07 come to mind. He's a good coach. I think its more of a mental thing with them now. Even when they had bodreau they never made any significant runs. Being up 3-1 in a series should be a lock

Coach can only work with what he's given. We score on 2-3 more powerplays that series (not a very unreasonable request, especially considering our regular season %) and we're in the ECF. A different bounce tonight, and we're in the ECF. We survive 1:41 in Game 5 and we're in the ECF. Even making it to this point shows that Trotz can do it.

We need players who can actually finish. Until we replace the glorified grinders like Chimera/Brouwer/Glencross/Laich/Beagle with people who can actually score, we won't be able to do anything. Lundqvist is a great goalie, but we were the better team and have to convert more.

So depressing. Just wasting away Ovi/Backy's good years as the window for a cup closes.

EDIT: Also, f--- the Ducks. Free walk to the WCF much? Jesus.

interesting period. the rangers win by creating and then winning footraces at each end of the ice. as fast as the johnson-palat line is, tampa doesn't really have effective defense for that. (hedman and stralman are both great shut down guys, but they've been incredibly sluggish in the playoffs--esp the latter. assume one or both is injured). ben bishop is not an elite goalie. i feel okay about this series.

really hope the Rangers take the cup home this year, I was only 6 the last time they won in the 93-94 season so I hardly have any memories of it.
