Huge OT win in Calgary for the Wild tonight, only a point back of a playoff spot now. :emoji_thumbsup:

They've been probably the hottest team in the NHL the last 10-12 games or so, 2 of the next 3 are against Edmonton so hopefully they can keep it rolling. It's amazing how much a good goalie can completely turn the whole team around, everyone has more confidence now knowing they don't have to worry about the other team scoring a goal every 5 shots or whatever lol.

Yeah it s----d for us not to win, but a point is a point in the tight west. I'd like to see Minny make it, and SJ flop around and fail.

Sabres have a good shot at landing Connor McDavid

The Penguins are such a disgrace right now. So much talent but none of the players even look like they care. If it wasn't for Fleury they wouldn't be in a playoff spot. In his last 6 games he has only given up 6 goals, but only has 3 wins to show for it.

Yakupov bout to be a legend. Dallas Eakins was the worst coach in NHL history. Jack Eichel in the draft this year and Oilers winning the cup in 2018. Bookmark this.

It doesn't matter how much offense you have when you have no defense. If I'm Edmonton, I try to trade that top pick and bring in a top pairing stud defender along with other picks/prospects. Ekman-Larsson would look really good in Edmonton, grab him and Boedker from Phoenix (screw calling them Arizona). They do that, go and get a free agent in Johnny Boychuck this offseason along with a veteran center like Mike Ribiero and they would definitely compete for a playoff spot.

This would be a solid line-up:
    Hall-Nugent Hopkins-Eberle
    Boedker-Ribiero-Yakupov
    Pouliot-Gordon-Purcell
    Klinkhammer-Hendricks-Fraser

    Ekman-Larsson-Boychuck
    Klefbom-Schultz
    Ference/Nikitin-Petry

Would also look to move Fayne and either Ference or Nikitin. If they could get some prospects/picks for them along with a bottom 6 forward that would make Klinkhammer their 13th forward that would be solid. I like Scrivens in goal but you can't expect him to stop 40 shots on a nightly basis.

I definitely agree with poor coaching in Edmonton though. David Perron is a stud but somehow was on their 3rd line before he came to the Pens :drake4:. Bring in a guy like Tortorella that will whip them into shape and I can definitely see them making the playoffs.

Dubnyk is 12-2-1 since coming to the Wild, d---. Shutout win for him tonight, Wild got 4 goals and are still rolling. Dallas at home on Sunday will be kinda tough then the Oilers again, hopefully can get these next 2 cuz Nashville after that could easily be a loss.

Still a point out of the playoffs but they have a couple games on some of the teams in front of them, Wild just gotta keep winning obviously. Glad Calgary and Vancouver lost tonight.

I'm going to the Pens @ Sabres game April 11. Sabres are god awful this season. Embarassing tbh. After they get McDavid things will be different. He'll draw so many people to games. It'll be be exciting :rejoice:

The Sabres look like their building something solid. They have a solid core of young guys and if they add McDavid to that then they can turn things around pretty quick. They could easily have the top 2 Calder candidates next year in Reinhart and McDavid.

I wouldn't get too excited about McDavid just yet. Much more likely to land Jack Eichel if we finish last. Either way, the Sabres will have a great player to build around if they can hold on to that coveted last place. These last couple years have been horrible, but I like how they've been building with guys like Reinhart, Zadorov, Ristolainen, Girgensons ... and I think adding Kane was a great move. Huge question mark at goalie right now though.

And yeah going to Sabres games isn't much fun these days. The last two games I went to they lost 3-0 to the visiting teams backup goalie.

No doubt about that fact that Zucca is the best player in the NHL at the moment.
