    Feel like that one would have stayed whatever it was called originally after review, so ducks lucky it was called a goal on the ice.

    OT already pretty crazy with a few good chances.

    Saw the oilers up 3 with like 10 min left. Turn back to the Mariners, text my grandpa saying your team is looking good. Get a text from him 10 or so later :lol6:

    Ummm, what? So I'm not supposed to let the final score determine the game?

    I watched all the games. The pens set themselves up a lot better to score goals. You can't just horde the puck to ovechkin all game with him shooting all over the ice at bad angles thinking you're going to win. Hockey is a team game. That's why Crosby will always be ranked better than Ovechkin. Crosby can assist other players on goals and help set them up. Ovechkin is selfish. And a piece of s---.

    i'm rattled tbh

    game 4:
    - first goal is goaltender interference. oil call a review, call on the ice stands. video is shown in intermission and it's unanimously agreed that as per the exact rule 69.1, that's interference.
    - second goal is off side. but since the oil had their challenge taken away, they can't dispute it
    - OT winner is icing

    game 5:
    - first i gotta say: oil go down to 3 defensemen at one point, pouliot has to go back and play d as a forward like it's a beer league lol. everyone but sekera comes back and the oil play with 5 the whole game. larsson with 42 minutes. showing exactly why he is worth trading taylor hall for this team.
    - tying goal was more obviously interference than the game 4 goal. challenge is called. call on the ice still stands.

    if they had made the right calls on both nights, i woulda been at rogers for the watch party, celebrating a 4-1 series win in downtown on a friday night. smh. but it's all good, chiarelli was right. we're upset because the calls went against us. this is not a conspiracy against the oilers, it's just back to back games where the call went (wrongly) against our team. but f--- it, coulda happened to any team in the league.

    emotions after the game, were 110 summed up by lucic


    but emotions this morning, after seeing mcdavid say "we'll be back wednesday (for game 7)" and seeing him smile after losing game 5, and pat a defeated drat (who was watching the ducks celebrate after most of his team and coaches had left) "let's go" was pretty determined.



    f--- it bro, oil in 7. and if we don't, we'll be stronger for it. finally get to see 20 year old mcdavid in an elimination game. let's see if he has a lebron gear for real or not.

    The stupidest thing about fans claiming rigged is that clearly the NHL would want the Oilers to win. They have the next chosen one.

    word it's not rigged against us, it's just back to back games of the refs handing us the L when the ducks otherwise wouldn't have.

    but it could have happened to any team in the playoffs. give kesler and perry credit for being able to walk the line between legal and illegal so well that they often get the wrong call in their favour. getzlaf too. i guess that's clout.

    all good, oil in 7. can't do anything about it now but grow from it. oil shoulda been done with round 2 rn, waiting for the preds for round 3 though.

    @Mike Tyson ya man i feel you. Imo that non interference call was the worst call in the NHL this season. This season hass been almost NBA level with its officiating calls and non calls. And tbh thats the first time i ever agreed with Lucic on anything :laff:

    Rooting for the oilers in 7 for sure. f--- the ducks and carlyle

    And super super lowkey i do think the league is rigged for Canadian teams cause of gary bettman. f--- him honestly the dude would rather see a team in vegas than another one in canada. But thats a conversation for another day

    New line combos were great

    Separating Ovi/Backy has historically been bad but it's a lot harder to defend at the times it does work. Early Ovi/Kuzya/Oshie line used to be incredible when he first got here
