weird trade. MTL needed a 1C badly and they gave away their best trade chip for a 1W. Drouin is amazing but they already had some good wingers. Maybe theres more trades coming for MTL.

Penguins season opener begins now. So glad the season is here. Looking for the pens to repeat against this year. If I didn't work so d--- early tomorrow, I would have tried grabbing tickets.

I'm happy with the team and some of the off season moves pens did this summer; however, I don't think I'm completely sold on Murray being their franchise goalie just yet. I know he did extremely well during his run at the end of the year last season and finished his last 2 starts with shut outs. I just want to see him play like this for a whole regular season first rather than just a few months at a time. Being without fleury this year, we're definitely going to confirm if Murray is the real deal.

The arena is top notch but the fans are not really. The Canucks are in a rebuild right now and people aren't showing up like the used to. Even when they were the stadium wasn;t the loudest just because lots of suits buy the tickets for the lower bowl. If you want a better experience imo I'd sit in the upper bowl. Get a much more authentic experience. It's March in Vancouver so I'd make sure to bring a jacket cuz it will be raining. Area around the stadium is nice to me anyway. Some people will complain about the homeless surrounding since it's close to the DTES. Lots of places to drink/eat beforehand. There's a mall right near it and a costco across the street(get a 2 dollar dog instead of like 8 in the stadium if that's your thing).
