You summed it up perfectly, I was embarrassed just listening to the verse. Big Sean could have really made a statement by rejecting this, instead he acts like it's fire so it'll put Em's name on his record and get him more sales.

Let's see if @Jesse1414 , basically the only person who likes this verse can offer some good counter-arguments to bigcountry's post.

When something is just bad you can move on, but with this, I felt like OP, I could write sixteen paragraphs about how awful it was. Tone, inflection, lyrics, everything - at the absolute bottom rung in terms of quality. I'm starting to believe Em knows this and doesn't like Sean or some s---. He could have reached into the vault and gotten something that was still bad but not worst guest verse of his career bad.

It wasn't made in 2014 lol, he mentions Brady coming back which happened October 2016.

Anyways the cycle's the same every time with this s---:

-New Em guest verse leaks
-95% of the forum, including some stans think it's awful..Many call it the worst thing ever.
-The number eventually creeps to about 50/50 or close to it, with most of the 50% on the 'it's not bad' side being people coming up with excuses or reasons to defend it..usually something about it being a throwaway verse or Em was just 'messing around' and 'having fun' or one about how it's an old style Em won't use anymore for his new album.
-1 or 2 of the elite posters (BC in this case, Swizz, Koolo, WPG etc in the past) make a thread completely destroying the verse.

Always a fun time lol, but the cycle's completely different for a new Em album, maybe even a new song..This was just for guest verses.

I just think the Trump line sucks because it's boring. Is there anything less imaginative he could have said about an unpopular president? It's not funny, insightful, or memorable in any way, and that pisses me off cause his sheep fans are probably shi--ing themselves over it.

I guess. It's a pretty toothless message regardless yeah. But I think rappers can safely decry police violence and rap about committing violence without becoming hypocrites right? One is real - and should be called out- the other is a device

meh, not defending the song/verse whatsoever. but that's a little myopic right?

rap is an artistic flourish as you know. artists can either be referential (whether its referencing the movie Halloween, or the actual time Fergie peed herself in concert) or metaphorical (words are weapons blah blah). while trump actually sexually assaulted women. and he's actually president. it's not a comparison. eminem can rap about whatever he wants -- it may not be good, but i think hypocrisy is the least of his problems (for a time, his hypocrisy is what made him an interesting artist however)

Desperate? Sure the verse was s--- but for someone as big as Big Sean having the name "EMINEM" on your album is no desperation, that's a business opportunity. Your average hardcore Em fan would never listen to Big Sean but because of that verse I'm sure a lot of fans checked out that album.

It's pathetic seeing artists hype up an Eminem feature saying it's crazy and that he went in but then it actually turns out to be total garbage.. This guy must have been really desperate to put this atrocity on his album.

The forum has the most over exaggerated response to a verse they didn't like I have ever seen. Kendrick has some god awful features as wel, remember that Maroon 5 one? It's just a verse, how big of a deal can you make of it. And besides, indefensible? How can music be indefensible, it's all a matter of taste. I could say that FACK is my favorite song of all time and there's nothing that you can say to proof me wrong. Get a grip on reality people.

I don't think Em does anything other than rap and is no longer really present mentally and people just record his insanity and throw it on a beat
