Eminem 'No Favors' verse is indefensible

    This. You guys are acting as out of touch as Eminem is. You can say a verse is utter s--- but there's no such thing as music being indefensible. I personally enjoyed the flow changes and liked his voice and delivery, and felt it compensated enough for some horrific parts of the verse. There's definitely a lot of content released at the same quality as this verse that doesn't get half the scrutiny.

    Honestly if you're really disappointed you have no one to blame but yourself for expecting that much out of 45 year old Eminem on a collab track for a rapper he probably doesn't care about.

    At this point he has to be aware of the bad reception he's getting. It's his biggest guest feature since ...... forever tbh. A lot of people are talking about it and how terrible it was

    @Koolo you think he's storing content for his album and therefore giving out nonsense as features and do something like CS just for the fun of it? cause that's what I'm thinking

    I'd love to hear the rest of the album can anyone on me the link? And I agree the feature has no excuse for being on this song or on anyone's album unless the album is titled unreleased freestyles from the vault.

    It's pathetic seeing artists hype up an Eminem feature saying it's crazy and that he went in but then it actually turns out to be total garbage.. This guy must have been really desperate to put this atrocity on his album.

    Desperate? Sure the verse was s--- but for someone as big as Big Sean having the name "EMINEM" on your album is no desperation, that's a business opportunity. Your average hardcore Em fan would never listen to Big Sean but because of that verse I'm sure a lot of fans checked out that album.

    Also of course I couldn't prove you wrong if you said fact was your favorite song. We're not debating whether or not something is your favorite song, we're debating if something is good/succeeds as a piece of music. If you don't want to have an in depth discussion about music idk why you're posting on a music forum.

    Not disappointed because I didn't expect it to be good, just talking about how bad it is in general because we're on a music forum which is a place to discuss music.

    meh, not defending the song/verse whatsoever. but that's a little myopic right?

    rap is an artistic flourish as you know. artists can either be referential (whether its referencing the movie Halloween, or the actual time Fergie peed herself in concert) or metaphorical (words are weapons blah blah). while trump actually sexually assaulted women. and he's actually president. it's not a comparison. eminem can rap about whatever he wants -- it may not be good, but i think hypocrisy is the least of his problems (for a time, his hypocrisy is what made him an interesting artist however)

    I mean, trump's crimes are clearly way worse than that of Eminem's, but rapping about this s--- doesn't help his anti-trump "message," no?

    I guess. It's a pretty toothless message regardless yeah. But I think rappers can safely decry police violence and rap about committing violence without becoming hypocrites right? One is real - and should be called out- the other is a device

    As for this verse, yeah. But eminem has been talking about raping women etc for how long now? So if he's calling trump a b---- for that he's a hypocrite no matter what (even if I agree it doesn't matter what eminem says compared to the potus)

    Edit: this goes for all rappers who act like women are just sluts, or only objectify them, but its part of rap culture (I guess lol) and marshall does it a lot
