Hypothetically, if it ever were to happen I have to honestly say I wouldn't want to raise another mans child, Id have as little to do with it as possible [as it's obviously impossible to be 100% avoidable]. I think the circumstances change when a kid is say 16 or whatever, as he or she is basically an adult at that point and has less dependency on parents, it's not an issue for most people then. But I'm talking when a child is 3 and growing still and still highly impressionable [Potential risks as you pointed out], requires more effort, time and stress and you have to cautious about the way you go about things, just seems like it can be too much hassle.

May 30, 2015 Probably not at this point in my life. I'm only 24 and I know my heart would not be in raising a kid that isn't mine. I wouldn't wanna be a s--- father and confuse him/her. If I was older and ready to settle down I would have no problem seriously dating a single mother and helping raise her kid. A true parent is one who raises you, not necessarily one who you are blood related to.

May 30, 2015 if you're going to actually date a woman with a child or children then you should be going in with the idea that some bonding will happen. If you have no desire to raise or even mentor a child you should have the courtesy of saying so. let it be known that all it is is sex. My current gf is helping raise my 2 children and I would never date or respect her if she didn't at least try.
