    two budget reconciliations in one year is unprecedented -- even one will have an immediate effect toward implementing trump's agenda. as will executive orders. personally, id love it if you were right and trump's passes meaningful infrastructure legislation. seemingly, thats not mcconnell or ryan's prerojative -- much easier to f--- with obamacare + k--- tpp/iran deal/paris accords, none of which will be the job stimulus sooo many alt right and mainstream conservatives believe they might be .

    California will never secede. The education system sucks, roads are s---, no water, homeless people everywhere, no affordable housing, high taxes and can't balance a budget if the human race depended on it.

    "Calexit" (most unoriginal name ever) deserves no attention whatsoever.

    The worst part of this election is that Trump will probably have Pence do a lot of the work and give Pence free reign to push his backwards a--- legislation through a Republican controlled Congress. I live in Indiana and I know first hand how evil Pence is. Trump is awful but Pence is an absolute monster.

    The overreactions to this election are pushing people even further down the path taken on Election Day and validating every vote.

    Waiting for 6 months from now when everything is exactly the same as it was 6 months ago except US markets are crushing it and the work force participation rate is the highest it has been in over a decade.
    At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if it is built by volunteers with donated material.

    No. If some a------ who owns a bakery only wants to serve straight people, why should anyone care? That person will get shunned as they deserve. No need for men with guns to come and arrest the owner or for his bank account to be hit by the government.

    if race was neutralized in these decisions and this was policy based, then those races would be closer to the national average (so around 50%). 88% and 65% in favour of clinton shows a staggering discrepancy in minority support.

    but anyways, like i said earlier, it doesn't really matter at this point because they'll get their shot at having someone else in office 4 years from now. until then, @Fire Squad has the right idea.

    I think my last thoughts on this are simply this; I can't deny that I'm dissatisfied about the outcome of this election and what it says about a lot of demographics here but ultimately life goes on and this country is far too great for things to suddenly fall apart as recent doomsayers are predicting. Democracy has spoken and now we wait and see what happens, if things work let's keep it if not then that's why we have f---ing elections.

    It's frustrating and I remember my uncle went through h---, I think almost a decade just for him to get his papers to get it. Having more people investing is never a bad thing, it's at the same time I do think some places still are against it just for the cheap labor (think farms, landscaping and other low wage paying jobs).

    My pops still gets uncomfortable talking about it, he came over here in the 80s when he was just 18. It's not the U.S' fault that the Mexican government isn't of much help in that process either, people are still inexplicably poor despite the rich resources and the government has a system that only benefits the more wealthy. Law-breaking is law-breaking ultimately but common sense is something that can at least fix this issue since it's long overdue.
