What exactly is my stance that you're trying to change? What should we do, get together hold hands and sing kumbaya everytime grandma shares a link of another Mexican kid getting cyber bullied by alt right trolls? Literally all I'm saying is that the world isn't ending and we shouldn't treat it as such, people who are dumb enough to be bigots would be bigots regardless of who was elected. Maybe trumps election did spark a different brand of comments but the people commenting would have been doing so either way.

Everybody has to accept the fact that Donald Trump is the president-elect. That is the reality, but I do not have to support anything he stands for. As a minority in this country I'm not necessarily scared that I will die because of this or that I'm in immediate danger, but its very scary that a dude with his value on minorities has been given this platform because it gives a platform for some of the worst people in society to spread hate and perpetuate oppression.

And Trump supporters are just over here talking like we're just mad a conservative got elected when its more than that. But then again y'all don't see any racism in anything he says. It's just "not politically correct to y'all" and I honestly don't know how to convince y'all otherwise at this point.

this is true but i think its deeper than that. Trump sort of symbolizes the last hope for white supremacy. He literally got votes by saying "we need to take our country back" etc. Who is he talking about when he says "we"... He won an alection by being blatantly racist, that alone should tell you theres a huge problem. Just as minorities felt empowered when Obama won, you will have a large majority of white folk who feel they've "taken their country back" which is scary.
