    But again its more than that. Sure they'll exist but they may be effected by his outlook. His views are dangerous because it gives power to people for other people to think the same way and thats a very real threat to our everyday lives. Thats no joke.

    Parents were illegal, moms a doctor and has had an impact on thousands of people's lives directly. People will do what it takes to give their children a better life. Is starving in a 3rd world country and having your children live in poverty and filth a better option? What would you do? Worry about breaking the law or do whatever it takes for your family.

    but he generalized way too much which is a mistake and he's painted most of them as criminals to incite fear when they do not commit any more crime than other subset or group in america. He just used this whole thing as a tool to appeal to the far right and it worked.

    this is so not an argument. "people will do what it takes to give their children a better life". Being a parent isn't a get out of jail free card. you can't just break laws and say "it's for my kid". the law still applies. if your mom is an illegal immigrant your mom is inherently a criminal.

    I don't mean to cape for the man but I really didn't think he meant 'white people, let's take our country back' when he said that, pretty sure he was just referring to what he felt was the status quo in the establishment. I really don't think he won the election by being blatantly racist, he's got an issue with illegal immigration which I think is a good thing. I'm sure I don't have to tell you how well he did with minorities, especially in comparison to Romney.

    Its expensive and some of them just couldn't afford it (same with school and much more). When they're over here it's mostly so they can earn money for it but even then the process can be very lengthy. I hoping this can be fixed that way this issue isn't so prevalent, a lot of my folks came here and are busting their a----s off to earn it.
