Holy s--- so Dave just said on WOR that New Japan has decided to choose to work with only ROH and not AEW.

I thought the Kenny s--- from a couple hours ago was definitely a work but now, f---...maybe not. Everyone said during All In they were going to stick together moving forward and it looks like Kenny is keeping his word.

So dumb for New Japan to pick ROH...I get they have the MSG together show coming up but there is no contract saying they have to ONLY work with ROH and can't also work with AEW

Saw that some writer said the contracts he's hearing are comparable to WWE and another writer said he heard similar things and the numbers are surprising.

Double or Nothing is now pretty much confirmed to be Memorial Day weekend. Meltzer said they will build to that show for the first 5 months of the year, then start running the Tuesday night tv show and weekend house shows in June.

Idk which one I'm going to pick (probably DoN since since it's in Vegas and I live in L.A.) but I am going to attend either Double or Nothing or the G1 in Dallas this year.

Yeah it’s really that way, you forget how fun and alive wrestling used to be. It’s so nice to be excited every week for wrestling and nearly always getting satisfied.

My bad fam, I feel like I've let y'all down by not keeping up with this thread...I wasn't on the board at all the last month or so....

I am a little surprised, though, to see everyone has been a little down on AEW while I was gone. While maybe they haven't done anything huge lately...they are still plugging along quite nicely putting together a really good stretch of shows after the 'Dark Order destroys everyone' segment that closed out 2019.

It seems like they have a new focus of advancing their main feuds/storylines of Cody vs MJF, Jericho vs Mox, and Hangman vs Elite while continuing to slowly build and get over the young guys like Darby, Jungle Boy, Sammy Guvera (who is honestly one my favorites in the whole company right now), and PAC.

I think they're doing really well! I'm very curious to see when they put the extra show on and how it does. On one hand it shouldn't draw ratings as high as Dynamite, but on the other hand it probably won't go head to head with a WWE show so it might draw about the same.

This week's episode from the Jericho cruise looked f---ing awesome...I love seeing wrestling shows in unique venues.

Pretty good show but d--- AEW really sucks still at some stuff related to the presentation of the show. There were a few spots I noticed it but the worst was during the bunny, blade and butcher segment when they already had the hashtag on the screen before at least 2 out of 3 of them appeared, ruined the surprise and made it seem less legit.

looks like Moxley Jericho will be the next feud for the title though, which I’m happy about.
