@SaltyGhost @jhgfx @YouBetterBelieveIt and anyone else willing to help. I'm working on editing the cover for my next album, this is what I have right now. I'm liking where it is going but not entirely pleased with how it looks right now. Any suggestions on what to do next to improve it and give it more of a polished, finalized look?

the picture doesnt work with the aesthetic
it looks like a candid pic that a friend took of you while the aesthetic is very manufactured and sterile, they don't mesh. i'd either invest in a professional photoshoot and get a bunch of photos of youself to use for covers, promotion, social media, etc, or go in a completely different direction with the cover

also i dont like the versatility font at all, it looks like something out of the "tech" section on dafont.com or something

Appreciate the feedback (@Jet✞ too). I actually do have (semi?)professional photos taken of me that I use for promotion, social media, etc (www.naynaymusic.com/photos). This photo in particular was actually taken on a $900 camera (except this one was taken by someone not too experienced). I may just go in a completely different direction for the cover though like you suggested since it seems like I'm not completely pleased not matter what I do to this. I just had 2 things in mind for what I wanted for the cover: I wanted to include myself (since I haven't been on my previous covers and it's nice to put a face behind the music), and I wanted it to be "artsy" (hence all of the color editing effects). If anyone else wants to take a stab at it and try to come up with something new, let me know!
Also, do you have any good cover fonts for me to look into?

the colors, the concept, the logo, the font. screams first timer. meaning it just doesnt look professional. id start over. be creative but keep it simple.

Thanks for the input! This is my first time doing anything like this, though I'm not a first timer with using photoshop. The logo I made years ago, but I'm keeping that, gotta keep it consistent with my previous releases. Plus I have that logo on banners, shirts, etc. Any ideas on what I can do that will have an artistic look while incorporating a photo of myself though?

yeah the price tag on the camera doesn't necessarily equal quality picture tbh, it's about the experience of the person behind it. an experienced photographer can make a good photo with a $5 disposable camera. a lot of the photos on your site reek of an amateur who's just learning (don't get me wrong, that's not a bad thing, everyone starts somewhere, but they're definitely not "professional")

not trying to be a d-ck, but go to a studio if you want to really invest in your music. the pictures will go a long way. the 'artsy' aspect isnt coming through with the colors, because it's coming across as you googling "artsy images" and going with what you saw. again not trying to be a c---- here but i'm honest so that's what it looks like. you're being too sterile with it, it looks like you're doing what you're "supposed to" instead of what you're legitimately thinking. I'd say give it another try, you can definitely be legitimately artistic with a photograph like that if you want. you just need to go with your guy and be visceral with it.

also as for a font, idk but stay away from 1001fonts.com and dafont.com for those things, the tables are s--- with them. i can't tell you a specific one, because there's no subsection of fonts to use specifically for album covers, but i'd go with something clean and sans serif if you want to go with a clean aesthetic. maybe helvetica if you want to play it safe, a bold, all caps, and tightly kerned helvetica never looks bad. gill sans is another one. if you're going to go more messy with it then idk, but keep me updated. mention me if you make more versions, i'll keep critiquing you (if you want it that is) @Nay Nay
