'Close to You', a loose cover of Stevie Wonder's rendition, is next to be given the flick. Tallying six of the 11 votes, it was one of four songs voted up for elimination, just like last round. The vocal effects and production on this remind me a lot of a James Blake-esque delivery, as it feels robotic yet calming. Running at around one minute and a half, the song goes through Frank's thoughts in regards to a relationship breakup, where he laments that although he wasn't devastated, he was saddened that the other person wasn't as careful with the breakup, leaving Frank to dwell on the memories as he deals with their sudden separation alone. I do feel like this song was voted out early but it is what it is.
