Nov 10, 2015 Is it really that bad though?.. it's been getting critical acclaim..of course that doesn't mean anything

Nov 10, 2015 I was think that too. It's easy to find flaws in stuff when you go in expecting it to be s---. This game is fun as h--- from what ive played so far...about 6 hours. If I thought it was s--- I'd would say so.
Nov 10, 2015 i went in expecting a s-----y mess of a game that would hold my interest through the main story and maybe be a bit of fun. what i got was a buggy mess that's so boring i can't sit through more than an hour or so at once. there's nothing compelling about the characters or story, i don't want to spoil it but the thing that sets this apart from other fallouts is you actually control your character in other ones. you pick how he thinks and what he says and what he likes/dislikes/approves of/disapproves of. this time you're just playing as a middle aged war vet with a wife and child that you happen to get to name and create the looks of. he has a backstory and it's all there. he likes kids because he has a child. he approves of technology because he has a robot butler. he likes women because he has a wife. you're not playing as your own character in this, it's just like playing gears of war or some s---. it's a predefined character in a story that really isn't appealing. it sucks to trudge through a lot of times. i actually got bugged out of a side mission. no way to restart it. just lost forever. i also had a "random" event (it was just meant to look random, as it happened every time i reloaded) f--- up on me and glitch out forcing me to restart 3 times in a row. this is not what a $60 triple a game should work I will say though after playing, I really enjoy the atmosphere of the diamond city place and theres a f--- ton of side quests that I got from just walking around and looking at random s---/talking to people in there. the rest of the wasteland kinda sucks, but i really like the city, and a couple of the dungeons I've done so far are really cool with neat loot that makes it worth exploring. but aside from the main city and a couple of those dungeon/location things its just really monotonous and boring. also it gives you no reason at all to get into base building and crafting.
Nov 11, 2015 I don't buy offline games, so is it worth it to go pick up a torrent of it, or is it still too bugged?
