d---, was like "i need this game" didn't have the funds for it on release and was going to get it monday... seriously re-considering. Also all this bug talk about FO4 has made me appreciate MGSV a lot more. Didn't notice at first, but i'm like 90% sure I played start-finish without encountering a single bug. I'm not talking game breaking bugs eitheir, I literally had none. Not even a screen tear/framerate drop. I know there were about 3 major game breaking bugs reported, but for those bugs to happen, you had to do some insanely specific s--- - that most people playing wouldn't encounter.

I get it when people say "oh its bethesda ofc theres bugs!" sorta, like, it's a f----huge game and they can't test every single aspect before release... But really, when MGSV was so well polished (ignoring the cut-content "ITS NOT FINISHED!!" s---.) that argument is bs.

witcher 3 is at least 3-4 times the size and content of fallout and 100x the polish. its also a lot less buggy and a lot more fun.

I played a bit of Witcher 2 on PC, though not much cause the framerate drops were too intense, the graphics were pushing my PC to its limits. Do remember it being 'weird' in that it was waaaay different control-wise to what you'd expect. But also, really really fun. If i remember correctly I played through pretty much the intro missions and made it to the first main town where i was like "ok this games fucken huge" and quit. Only cause it was/would be too straining on my PC at certain parts.

Any big differences between witcher 2 and 3? I might just buy 3 cause it's cheaper too. But, would you go for Witcher 3, or Fallout 4 a year from now when it is actually polished?

3 is a huge open world rpg. i only played a bit of 1 and 2 but im prettty sure they were linear and didnt have as many side quests? tw3's world is broken up into like 3 or 4 giant areas and they're all packed with different side quests, dungeons, contracts and s--- like that. they also released free DLC for the first 16 weeks the game was out. then they released a game expansion for $10 that was the size of tw2 in terms of story and length.

id go for tw3 personally. especially if you're on console. bethesda wont fix fo4, mods will make it playable on pc but with mods for consoles they're all going thru bethesda. they'll most likely be charged for and they wont have anything to do with graphics or performance because consoles are kinda capped in that regard.

that being said give fo4 a year anyway. if you really want to play it a year out therell most likely be a game of the year edition that has all the dlc bundled in with it.

That sounds exactly what i'm looking for. any "open world" kind of game already makes me more interested in it. Who the f---s wants a linear story that just goes from point A to point B and k--- stuff on the way? no depth at all. it also feels so much cooler talkign to your m8s abotu games when your like "oh man, was walking around and stumbled across some crazy rare enemy that f----- my s---! had to do all this crazy tactical s--- to make it out alive" as opposed to "how cool was that mission in cod?"

linear games have their place. MGSV should have been linear. it was a wide open world with nothing to do. all you did was do the same thing over and over in different bases, and all the side quests were either "extract X" or "k--- y". it would have benefited if they didn't feel the need to do an open world and they focused on the missions and story. an open world is worthless if there's nothing in it worth finding. fo3 was like that too to a lesser extent. new Vegas was a small map but it was packed.

but yeah the witcher 3 is the best open world game I've played yet. it has that GTA almost like feel where you can just see random s--- that spurs a whole mission, like you walk down a path and see a gutted horse and a broken carriage and you can investigate who/what did it and s---. then on top of that there's hundreds of dungeons and lots of hidden treasure and s---. it's great. and the story is actually interesting unlike fallout 4. I've never played all of tw 1 and 2 but 3 was still interesting af for me.

Gonna buy on Monday i'm pretty sure. The more I look into it/hear about it the better it sounds.
Totally agree about MGSV having a huge open world but feeling empty though. Like on one hand it's some of the best gameplay ever and has some insane story elements, but it still feels unfinished in a weird way. Like what was with those cracks in the rocks you could climb? I literally found 3 in the entire world... And lmao at that Battle Gear d-ck tease. All this hype about you being able to use it in combat ... deployment!
And I dunno if you played ground zeroes but wtf happened to Chico?
(I've still got a tinfoil hat on, hoping all the small things like Fox engines 'revolutionary cloud server technology' and Kojima's "I want the players to spend years trying to beat the game" and his disappointment in players data mining silent hills to unlock secrets/Easter eggs. is some kind of "secret" unlockable/downloadable mission. Then again the game could have just done a number on my brain and I'm now question every little thing hoping for more, f---)

pretty sure it was just meant to be a final chapter but the more and more they got into it the less it became. like for some reason they felt like they had to make it open world so they dumped time and resources into that rather than finishing what the game should have been.

and wtf @ getting sutherland to do the voice, snake talks like 3 times in the whole game.

yeah it just felt unfinished. but regardless yeh, TW3 is great. if you're playing on pc look into the reqs obvously though, because people were having trouble running it. at least witcher has somewhat of an excuse for that though, the graphics are amazing and the world is f---ing huge.
