Aug 24, 2015 This f----- me up. I was on my Twitter that night and it was lit. They were getting on Madonna and everyone else, then I get on my FB and see Cole fans bitching. At that point in time, I only saw the commercial and the changing of his pic to the Tidal thing. I was like why you bitching so hard? He wasn't even in the commercial. Wtf? I mean that is his boss, he a sell out for changing the picture? Mere seconds after posting that, they posted that f---in line up picture. He tricked my a---. He was there, just not in the commercial. I was just glad nobody on Twitter really noticed that......they were too busy bashing Tidal and Madonna (she was clapping back on folks)
Aug 24, 2015 Being forced to release FNL for free instead of his debut album is a 50-50 L (ended up releasing CWSS which wasn't as good but Work Out made him big honestly) - Still, if he could've kept FNL for an album...

Aug 24, 2015 Didn't know that. From what I understood he was frustrated with the delay's on CWSS, so he wrote FNL on tour and recorded it in Times Square.
Aug 24, 2015 He's mentioned it a few times, I think the last time I heard about it came from IB on an iTunes podcast. He mentioned that they wanted FNL to be the debut album but Jay and the label didn't think he would sell well without a good enough single, which eventually led to them releasing FNL for the fans and going with Work Out and CWSS.
Nov 8, 2015 Yeah I ain't see nun wrong with that I used to hit the black and khaki's just cause J. Cole rocked it all the time. s--- was cold, the second outfit a bit bummy tho.
Nov 8, 2015 Yep. Cole recorded it to be his debut but Hov told him to scrap it or something of that nature As a debut album it would've been GOAT and changed people's perception of Cole. Come out of the gate swinging with a 10/10 classic instead of releasing just a respectable 7.5/10 debut LP...not bad by any means but FNL is way better
Nov 8, 2015 Worried about his investment in Cole. He wanted the project to be more commercially appealing. I don't think FNL would've debuted well on the charts like Sideline Story did but I think eventually it would've sold a lot due to the quality and word of mouth. Hov handled it all wrong
Nov 8, 2015 Super homophobic right there lol I would have laughed it off. But gay dudes really do force it sometimes. Like, it's cool, if you're about that life whatever but don't bring that to the table when we're having a conversation.
