May 19, 2015 Man...the entire worry that not only have you made nothing of your "name" (like don feels) but the idea of everyone around, children, wife, co workers, etc all looking through you (like the guy with the monologue at the end), is all so so so real. And then the dream about the freezer, fridge, whatever, itself..the fact that there are moments in life where door opens and you think you get a glimpse at a better, brighter, happier, life only to be shut out, overlooked, and forgotten all over again. until your expiration date, if you extend the metaphor. Man that scene and Don getting up and hugging/sobbing with the guy is gonna be eternally rewarding. Even when I watch it years from now it's going to be so powerful, and so cathartic this finale was better than breaking bad's, in my opinion. almost definitely
May 19, 2015 dont agree with the overall sentiment, but a good read - this part especially "Viewed this way, this ostensibly cheery finale might actually be every bit as dark as that of the Sopranos, with its nihilistic cut to black: A vision of America sold a beautiful lie about itself by a man who broke his vows, scandalized his child, assumed another man’s identity—and then did yoga for a few days and now feels better enough about it all to continue to enrich himself, his company, and his clients by peddling whatever product lands on his desk." http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/...d_everything_have_to_end_quite_so_neatly.html
