Oct 22, 2018 Did anyone watch the NWA show? I planned on it but then drama happened in my personal life so I got drunk instead
Oct 22, 2018 oh same no drama tho Lol I was gonna watch it but the card looks weak compared to a lot of indie shows and the response to most of the matches after seemed to confirm that. Still hype for Cody and Aldis which is apparently dope, and I like the presentation of the show.
Oct 22, 2018 Don Callis turned on Omega in Winnipeg and cut a promo on him. Says a lot about the New Japan situation.
Oct 23, 2018 I think it's one of the worst looking belts I've ever seen... Maybe it looks better in motion
Nov 3, 2018 @Big Dangerous guessing you've also missed this tag league? I've heard the day 7 show is pretty great and the opener between Shingo/Bushi and R3K was awesome. Had no clue Power Struggle was tonight until yesterday. JERICHO vs Evil (IWGP IC Title) - 5 Naito vs ZSJ (basically Jericho contender's match) - 4.75 Ishii vs Suzuki (RPW title) - 4.5 Bushi/Takagi Vs R3K Vs Desperado/Kanemaru (Jr tag titles) - 4.5 Goto vs Taichi (Never title, poor Ospreay) - 3.5 Tanahashi & Finlay Vs Golden Lovers - 4 First three matches should be fun tags as well. Loaded show. edit SO I thought Jericho/EVIL was easily on the level of or slightly better than the Omega match. I dropped the Naito match down a .25, but that's three classics for Jericho. He's working as hard as anybody and obviously has one of the best minds ever. Arguably Evil's best match next to maybe the Okada match which tells you all you really need to know. Phenomenal post match promo too. Naito/Zack was blow away, could have had a bit more heat but it's probably the best match they've had. Lots of innovative spots and counters, the work around Zack's neck was really effective. Three way was fantastic, Shingo is awesome and everybody really stepped up. Looking like Ishimori/Kushida which should be great. Ishii/Suzuki had their best match of the year. h--- of a show.
Nov 3, 2018 Absolutely loved the singles matches. Zack is quickly edging out most of my favorite new Japan guys as my favorite. I think this jericho match is my favorite of his so far, Imagine jericho 10 years younger, hed be f---ing savage
Nov 4, 2018 I used to be sad about missing out on college but all y'all lame af. Right?! It's like working with a Lesnar/Benoit, he's beating the s--- out of these guys. Really shows you how great he was in the WWE to go as far as he did there, but this Jericho is on another planet. I was in absolute awe of how far he was willing to go, you literally couldn't ask for more out of him physically. He's giving his body to these matches at the same level of the best in New Japan. It's very clear that Jericho wants this stretch of his career to be special and add something to his legacy that takes any asterisk about being a WWE guy, an upper mid carder who was never THE guy, away. He's as good as anybody ever was.
