Aug 2, 2017 Ive been watching old Nitros and RAW at the height of the attitude era and I never knew that Jushin Liger was in the WCW cruiserweight division at one time
Aug 2, 2017 That's where he got all of his western recognition Btw what's happening on RAW right now? Move this to WWE thread
Aug 2, 2017 Evil/Omega - 4.25 Okada/Tonga - 4 Sanada/Juice - 4 Yano/Elgin - no Suzuki/Kojima - 2.75 Poor Evil
Aug 4, 2017 Day 6 was pretty meh to me. The only real standouts to me were the suzuki/juice match and the Okada/sanada match. The omega/yank match was kinda funny as well. The crowd seemed very dead to me, they're usually more interactive. Probably gonna watch day 7 and 8 tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be caught up after this weekend
Aug 4, 2017 Day 7 started off a lot better for me, the first 2 matches anyway. Poor yoshi-hashi lol, I knew as soon as that match started he was gonna be in a world of hurt with Ishii. I thought the Fale/Zsj match was done really well and I was excited to see Ibushi wrestle again but man that match seemed so awkwardly paced. I don't seem to enjoy makabe's matches so far at all. Naito looks to be very tired during his match with Nagata, I'm enjoying their back and forth antics with one another and it's cool to see Nagata break character a bit and trying not to laugh at Naito. The tanahashi match was pretty good. The Ishii/yoshi-hashi match was the stand out match for me @Changeling how many of these guys do you actually feel are legitimate contenders to dethrone Okada?
Aug 4, 2017 Depends what you mean. Contenders to beat him in the G1 or contenders to take his championship? I think Omega will be the only one to beat him during the G1...maybe EVIL will get a surprise upset. As far as take his championship, I believe Omega and Naito are the two biggest threats. Okada has already defended successfully against a ton of others like Suzuki
Aug 4, 2017 I'd say out of everyone in the G1 I feel that Ishii, omega, naito, zsj (distant future) and maybe Elgin but i don't think he's all the way there yet
Aug 4, 2017 It's kinda obvious Okada/Omega will meet in the finals for the title; In which Kenny will go over this time
Aug 5, 2017 I love predictable booking when it's good Ibushi/Nagata - 3.75 Fale/Ishii - 3.5 Goto-Yoshi-hashi - 3.5 Naito/ZSJ - 4 Tanahashi/Makabe - 3.5 (I f---ing forgot this match happened already) @Changeling u been sleepin on the ratings edit These Okada/Omega matches with Evil/Juice should be fantastic tonight
Aug 5, 2017 Okada and EVIL was one amazing match my god. Spoiler It basically confirms my suspicions of Naito winning the whole thing
Aug 6, 2017 WOW Yano/Tonga - Ya no Kojima/Sanada - 3.5 Elgin/Suzuki - 3.75 Juice/Omega - 4 Okada/Evil - 4.25 Some great moments tonight. I've been taking these shows for granted.
Aug 8, 2017 Jusy finished day 8. I love watching Juice, i had very low expectations prior to the g1 but he has probably been one of yhe most entertaiming to watch, his injury selling is A1, Tama tonga feela out of place in this tournament to me. He hasn't impressed me much. I feel that Sanada missed a great oppurtinity to kick Yano in the a---. Evil is another guy eho has suprised me, each and every one of his matches solidifies him as a potential legitimate threat to the title. I loved the heelish antics that Okada displayed against Kojima, definitely made for an entertaining match and told a great under dog/struggling veteran story. If the Elgin/Omega match wouldnt have been so d--- good i think the okada match would be my favorite of the night. Great night after a few sluggish ones imoed
Aug 9, 2017 Day 15 Nagata/ZSJ - 3.25 Ibushi/Yoshi-hashi - 4 Fale/Goto - nothing match Naito/Makabe - 3.5 Tanahashi/Ishii - 4.75 Day 16 Tonga/Kojima - 3.25 Elgin/Evil - 3.75 Omega/Sanada - 4 Okada/Suzuki - 4.25 Done with the main shows. Last few gonna be crazy.
