Dec 20, 2017 This Young Bucks controversy is ridiculous. A bunch of WWE marks complaining about one sequence without the context of what happened before or after. How can these people so confidently tear down a product they don't watch? The match even? It's not a serious spot. Wasn't on Friday and it wasn't the other times they've done it. Hope they never see the ten boot spot, but I'd guess they'd actually have to watch to criticize it instead of seeing a random GIF on Twitter from the biggest show of the year. To watch a match as f---ing insane as that tag match, only to cower under the guise of "storytelling" or "psychology" as a defense for why it didn't work is so absurd. Enjoy your eight minute Raw matches with half of them being comprised of rest holds. At least it's "believable", right?
Dec 22, 2017 Does anyone feel like they kind of put Naito in position similar to his and okadas first match in that attention he deserves and has worked hard for could potentially be taken by Jericho and omega?
Dec 22, 2017 Jericho saying he never said this was his only match makes me think he might be doing more. He has way too much respect for New Japan and their wrestlers to be as disrespectful as he's been, and Naito has been going at him in interviews lately too. He has to know that even if Okada's the company guy, Naito's the most over with the fans. I'm almost more excited for New Years Dash than the Tokyo Dome itself. These are such great angles. Edit Gotta say seeing you fall into New Japan like you have just warms my heart
Dec 22, 2017 From what I've heard in interviews, Jericho has been greatly underselling Naito's position in the company in favor of Okada and Omega. It's possible he just isn't as familiar with the project as he claims, but I feel as though he should know that Naito is definitively part of the top 3, and the most over if anything.
Dec 22, 2017 Oh he does. Can't remember if he mentioned them himself, but he asked Dave who the top three was during their interview and he confirmed it. It'd be strange if Jericho were to do the ROH cruise after doing another WWE stint, which can't happen until after Mania anyway with his tour dates. Probably wanted to see the impact the Kenny angle would have before committing to doing more. Now the Naito stuff is getting people talking about a match even more than the original Twitter stuff with Kenny did. Why not do another match or two?
