Jul 17, 2017 The girl I've been staying with has the stomach flu so if I end up being up all night I'mma watch live. Hopefully that's not the case though, can't afford to miss work
Jul 17, 2017 One of the things you gotta love about NJPW *showing promos of G1 participants* Tama Tonga "I've been here seven f---in years" No one bats an eye that he dropped a F bomb in his promo. ITS PART OF THE OPENING VIDEO PACKAGE
Jul 17, 2017 @NJPWBros they announced over 16k subs to njpw world were apart of that guys keep spreading the word
Jul 17, 2017 My thoughts on the G1 matches from the first show (spoiler free) Spoiler: Thoughts Yoshi Hashi vs Yujii Nagata ***1/2 Bad Luck Fale vs Togi Makabe *** Tomohiro Ishii vs Hirooki Goto **** njpw world had an error for the final minutes of this match, I didn't get to see the rest so I'll peep it tomorrow Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Zack Sabre Jr ****1/2 Tetsuya Naito vs Kota Ibushi ****3/4 Naito vs Ibushi was incredible INCREDIBLE, one of the very best matches this year I love this era of wrestling so much someone on Reddit said they've never seen a neck vs neck match (in reference to Naito/Ibushi)
Jul 17, 2017 That match was amazing. Naito deserves that WK main event but I just wanna see Omega Vs Ibushi
Jul 17, 2017 Let me just say this has been one my favorite years of wrestling if not my favorite when it comes to quality matches already (I've only ever watched wwe full time until this year) and it blows my mind that there is still half the year left and especially 18 more straight days NJPW cards of quality comparable to this for the record my favorite wrestling years from an enjoyment standpoint are 98, 99, and 2001 w/ 01 having most of my favorite matches in a year but this will change because NJPW has knocked it out of the park tbh
Jul 17, 2017 Im just scared by the end of the tournament half the roster is gonna be totally wrecked with injuries
Jul 17, 2017 They have "road to" shows where it's mostly just tag matches with a singles match or two leading up to main PPV. I know they have Kings of Pro Wrestling which is the first big show after G1, and I heard they were doing some more ROH splits before the end of the year. No weekly shows like Raw or Smackdown though
Jul 17, 2017 Ishii/Goto - 4.5 ZSJ/Tanahashi - 4 Bullet Club/Suzuki Gun - 3.75 Naito/Ibushi - 4.75 J Cup Ishii/Riddle - 4.25 Kushida/Kyle O'Reilly - 4.25 Scurll/Tiger Mask - 3.5 Ospreay/Taguci - 3.75 Ospreay/Scurll/Liger/Kushida - 4.25 What a week!
Jul 17, 2017 I want to get into this but i dont even know where to start, is there even English commentary for this. how are the ppvs set up, whos the champions, i dunno im so lost but want to watch it compared the stale dried up product wwe is offering. i know many wrestlers who have come through this promotion but like i dunno, i wanna watch it. any help?
Jul 17, 2017 Omega - US champ Okada - IWGP champ Young Bucks - IWGP Tag Champs Tanahashi - IWGP Intercontinental Champ Kushida - Junior Heavyweight Champ Just explained the PPV's. There's English commentary for the big shows, think there's English all through the G1. Omega/Naito/Tanahashi/Okada are the main stars but pretty much everyone has their place, you'll grow to appreciate most of them.
