Aug 23, 2018 Nah, JR legit got injured. Idk if it actually ended up being a broken rib, but that was the fear. There was a big thing online with him and others saying New Japan has to do a better job of protecting their talent. Wasn't a good look at all, esp with Hiromu breaking his neck that night. JR and Barrett are both terrible representatives of New Japan, but having JR switch to color with Kevin taking over as the main broadcaster will make it a lot better. He can do what he's best at without taking away from the match.
Aug 24, 2018 I agree with him and Josh not being good for new Japan. Initially when I first started it was nice to have someone familiar to introduce me to the product but the lack of knowledge of talent, movesets and story lines really turned me off. Also, the negative comments about the company he was representing didnt help things either

He got actual heat from the new japan office about it but nothing will ever come of it because Cubans a billionaire and invests a lot into njpw. Nobody ever said it was a work except for axs tv and njpw world who had to make do with the situation. Nonetheless that whole thing made that match way better.
Aug 28, 2018 I just in no way believe him robotically getting up and running into the ring and switchblade getting out and pacing and then Barnett going back to ringside and resuming like that wasn't a pro-wrestling thing. People don't do that in real life
