Jan 23, 2017 Wait u haven't watched Okada vs Omega???? They did the NJPW forearm trading back and forth. Seth hit an Omega knee to the face. Went for the Rainmaker, ended up doing a slingblade.
Jan 23, 2017 Only reason i haven't is because I've been recovering from lung surgery. I'm dying to though. Perhaps i will tomorrow.
Jan 23, 2017 Man please tell me u noticed the Okada Omega segment in that match Forgot if u watched tbh No one on the Internet is talking about it
Jan 23, 2017 You guys know shawn michales was hooked on painkillers during his first title reign in 1996??? In 2002 HHH found him backstage unable to speak coherently and nodding in out lol reported him to Vince and they sent him home. Shortly after is when Shawn decided to get clean. The damage they take on their bodies though it'd hard not to be on painkillers to be able to perform at a high level all year.
Jan 23, 2017 Basically there was a chain during that match where they did some of the guys signature moves
Jan 23, 2017 Never knew that. Just thought it was cool catching up to wwe events before I started watching a lot around '99. Did u enjoy WCW over WWF at anytime? Kinda pissed at myself now for missing the peak of wrestling it seems after watching the Monday night War episodes
Jan 23, 2017 I just remembered when I was at 205 Live a group of guys a few rows above me chanted "WE LOVE BREXIT" during a Jack Gallagher match lmao
Jan 23, 2017 I didn't notice the spot but I also wasn't paying total attention. Okada/Omega is a must watch to anyone that hasn't seen it though
Jan 23, 2017 Yeah he suffered a pretty bad eye injury a few months back. Should be returning soon. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Hideo go to 205 Live when he returns from injury
Jan 23, 2017 I was a WWF Raw guy. Yeah man, The Monday Night Wars were great man. The wrestling wasn't incredible in the under card, but the drama and writing and investment in the show was at all time highs because they were literally working to not go out of business. I definitely recommend watching as much as you can from that era if you're a big wrestling fan. Shawn and the rest of the Cliq (his group of friends, Nash, Hall, HHH, Xpac) all were big partiers and druggies. What made it worse for Shawn was his career ending back injury sustained in the casket match with Undertaker. He became heavily reliant on Pain medication and alcohol.
