Chad Warden As Ballin As Possible

    Jul 21, 2016
I mean don't get me wrong I was watching TNA in 2006/7 and Saw the Daniels, Joe and Styles match and it was great. He can wrestle and he's a good wrestler. But nobody watches WWE to see great workrate and crisp dropkicks WWE thrives with story driven content

He isn't even an indy midget. I think he's a pro level guy. He just isn't a main eventer and won't draw or bring in ratings. You like his matches and he seems like a good dude but that's literally half the roster.

okay but you're acting like mic skills exists and is prevalent at all in todays programming in comparison to styles? you'd have a bigger point if you planted him in the middle of smackdown 2002 or something. But now?

Yeah and now the WWE is in its worst state since the new generation era so I think the fact fans don't even care about mic skills exposes part of the problem

Plenty of matches in the AE or early Ruthless Aggression era are technically bad matches but you enjoyed them. Like Scott Hall vs Stone Cold isn't even really a match but it was entertaining as f--- because you were invested in the characters and them interacting was cool.

regardless of how much fans care about Mic skills, the percentage of the roster that would've been considered good on the mic compared to the old days is miniscule anyway. There are hardly any new age guys that can talk. Bray, Kevin Owens? Who else?

Styles is super over and will continue to be regardless of how much Vince tries because he has in every company he's ever been to and he's that d--- good

Before he was turned heel Styles was arguably the most over guy in the company in under half a year of being there and losing a ton of his big matches.

I'm all for Mic skills back when people actually had them, but I'm only stating facts here

He isn't the most over guy in the company. If he is that's sad. He isn't a household name. I remember Jericho had to beg the crowd to chant AJ Styles because the crowd didn't know who he was. But I've seen him get cheered in smarks towns, a lot like Zayn. Styles would be a great long term midcard champ.

He had a massive reaction at the rumble with no hype or build up and no NXT presence. His merchandise sold like hot cakes. Went out of stock during his first month with the company...he constantly gets cheered over everyone during his title contender run even when he's lost against Cena, Jericho, and Roman. There's no denying that man everyone talks about it and I've seen it for myself lol

It won't be a coincidence whenever he eventually gets his first title reign and retires having earned a major title in TNA, WWE, AND NJPW while main eventing and having MOTY candidates in all 3 companies....

I care a lot about mic skills actually, it's one of the most important things in WWE today imo.

AJ's promos have been better than expected especially lately. Him and the club were really hitting their peak in WWE, then they f---in split them up, so stupid.

But they hardly really exist...a lot of the top guys aren't even that good on the mic. Ambrose and Seth would've been considered below average ten years ago. And that's coming from someone who likes em both.

Name me ten workers that aren't part timers old heads and established wwe stars that are clear cut better than AJ on the mic.

Hitting their peak? What peak? What has he done in the WWE? TNA and Japan aren't helping his case as a guy in the WWE.

He had two three star matches with Reigns and a botchfest with Jericho. I don't know man. Besides, you say he's over, if he is, he's over in an era where half of their male 18-49 demographic has stopped watching.

Definitely disagree with you about Seth, sort of agree about Ambrose.

Who has a better body of work than AJ since he came into the business?

Of course everyone knows that...but being over is over. I can diss the current rosters mic skills and overness nonstop, it's not anyones fault that WWE isn't popular and big anymore.

We clearly disagree too much about 'mic skills' to meet even here. To each their own.

Titus O'Neil is nowhere near as good as AJ on the mic. He shouldn't even be given a microphone.

Titus literally carried the PTP. He doesn't fumble lines like Styles and is quick witted. Could have been a fringe main eventer.
