Japanese wrestling , especially NJPW is showing like 30-40% increase in revenue and attendence compared to last year it's a crazy jump

Idk about this year but I heard Meltz say that New Japan is four times as big as it was 3-4 years ago.

He also said that New Japan is literally 1/20th of WWE in terms of revenue. Do the math, they're fine.

On the subject of WWE and quality and going out of business.

Best we can hope for is the ratings drop and mainstream crossover to make way for ROH and other indies (as well as the NJPW expansion) to gain enough size to make Vince want to kick it into gear.

That being said none of these companies will ever be as big in the US as Ted Turner's WCW.

Daniels/Cody was surprisingly great. Cody's visibly getting more involved with sequences/reversals, and the adaption of his WWE spots to the indie style has been seamless. They both had heat the entire match and were fully behind Cody by the end of it. Expect the Okada match to be incredible now.

Hangman Page/Kaz had an insane strap match. Both took an absurd beating the entire time with some stupidly dangerous spots. Scurll/Kushida both killed it again despite some messy spots. Young Bucks/War Machine/Surprise team had the match of the night.

Really dope show overall, even the buffer matches were fun. Only skipped the Dalton Castle nonsense.

IM KINDA GOING NUTS RIGHT NOW

Dave Meltzer noted on last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is printing Los Angeles 3:16 shirts for tonight’s episode of RAW.

Steve Austin lives in the LA area and Meltzer is speculating that Austin could appear on tonight’s episode of RAW. It’s not uncommon for Steve Austin to attend WWE events when they are in the area and he often records podcast interviews backstage.
