    No way. I'm not sure I'd give a 5 to more than a handful of WWE matches in history.

    I agree. How Zayn/Neville and Bayley/Sasha weren’t fives I have no idea.

    and about 4 or 5 more from NXT

    of course, this is all opinion but you know

    I think Owens/Cena 1 is a 5. Same with Bryan/Cena.

    Bro you're standards are wayyyyy too low for these (in my opinion anyway) , like Aj v Finn was not a 5 star match lol it was good but not even great.

    Five star matches in wwe are like...

    Angle/Michaels
    Michaels/Taker WM 25/26
    Austin/Hart

    Zayn and Nakamura might be 5 stars, I'd have to rewatch but it was tremendous.

    But all those other matches...no, they can't even match anything you'd find in thw typical big main event NJPW match. The drama, moves, storytelling, physicality, nah..not even close really

    Let alone super matches like say, Omega/Naito from this year's G1. Calling that 5 star match and turning around and calling aj/Finn five stars is just ridiculous in my opinion

    yea, they are but im just naming matches that are 5* in my opinion..lol

    in all honestly all these rating systems are opinions anyway, including Melzter's

    Yeah well like, I loved Cena and Aj matches thought the Summerslam and rumble matches were like 4.5's but I get that exact match and much more from like 30 new Japan matches last year so to call that 5* in my opinion is just not rationale

    They really are, do u watch a lot of NJPW? Sorry I forgot

    I'm a huge attitude era guy (stone cold is my idol) but 2017 became my favorite year in wrestling by far and it was my first year as an avid new Japan viewer...incredible stuff

    Definitely, I love NJPW

    Naito is probably my fav. wrestler there besides Omega (obvs)

    Evil is a great talent as well... I think he's underrated

    I'm an attitude era dude too, possibly the best era in WWE, besides the Ruthless Aggression era which could probably rival AE as being the best of all time in WWE.

    but yea, 2016/2017 has been a great time for pro wrestling thanks to NJPW

    And that's the thing for me looking back on it from my perspective there isn't a ton of wwe matches that match the quality of say, 2017 new Japan. I got a list somewhere but I remember having like 15 or 20 matches I rated 5 stars.

    There's like 15 or 20 total I could probably call 5* in wwe.
