    Early-mid 2000’s SD was goat.

    I’m 18 and started when i was 7
    WCW vs NWO World Tour and my dad showing me clips of 80’s wrestling. Started watching SD around 2006.
    In 3rd grade i got sent to the principal’s office for doing the s--- it taunt. Also got kicked out of class for repeatedly saying “money money yeah yeah”.

    In 4th grade my friends and I ran our own backyard-trampoline-federation. We decided who won by RPS or flipping a coin. Our fed title was the spinner belt. I took RKO’s to perfection.

    One of the first times, maybe the first time I ever recall watching wrestling was late 97/early 98 when Cactus Jack was giving a sad speech about the fans not caring bout him anymore and how he’s leaving.

    But I didn’t watch on a regular basis at that point, started shortly after though and the whole Austin/McMahon feud hooked me in. First PPV I ever ordered and watched live was a classic, king of the ring 98. Of course the classic Mankind Taker h--- in a cell match but also Stone Cold Kane 1st blood match.

    Started at 10, now 30. Definitely took some breaks in there and paid less attention at times (mainly recently) but for the most part I watched pretty consistently over those years.

    You guys hyped for Mania?

    I am tbh, always a fun time even if the show's a bit disappointing..I set realistic expectations, I think this year's card is pretty good though. Definitely some worthwhile matches, probably be some surprises too.

    I got the day off, gonna be a fun weekend. Gonna watch the UFC PPV saturday night then Mania for 5-6 hours or whatever(with a few breaks in there) on Sunday..might as well try to watch the pre-show stuff for the most part too, bet they have 1 good match on there to get people to tune in. Anyone wanna make a thread for it soon? or I can at some point, whatever works.

    @WrestlingBros heres a clip of Steve Austin discussing the promo he did w/ The Rock for WM17, specifically the interview on Smackdown. He said it was a s---t.

    He goes on to say this intriguing quote

    "He was trying to be number one
    I was number one
    He came close to overtaking me
    In my opinion, never did"

    Some honest words from Steve. Do you agree? In your opinion do you think The Rock ever overtook Stone Cold at any point during their peak, and when? Why or why not?

    He actually goes on to say that everything they said in the promos was a work, but what they said was also a s---t. Steve clearly can't make up his mind.
