This exactly. As you clearly stated that the hate Roman's getting is a result of bad booking/creative for him. It's not his fault. He's clearly one of the most hard working people in the business. And yes his promos aren't outstanding or anything that's special, you can feel that his promos lack a sense of a natural or realistic act. As Big Dangerous stated, they do very much seem like he's reading a script. But then again to be good on the mic you need skills and not everyone has that. A heel turn for him, have him just say a few words and beat a lot of people up would be the right move long term wise, so maybe then after he's done with his dominant heel run, he'll be accepted and embraced as a baby face.

Personally yeah, I believe being put into a casket match to lose to a 999 year old Undertaker who shows up once a year at mania (and has lost twice there) at this point, when you're already constantly losing to the stars for years, is indeed a burial.

Difference is, with WWE and their s-----y backwards booking, we have different standards for what burials are. They bury people and remove their credibility so consistently and nonsensically that one would think that yeah in 2018, Rusev being fed to Taker isn't a burial.

This is a company that will consistently make you beat person A, then next week lose to person B, who just two weeks prior beat person A. So the measurement of what a burial and what isn't is somewhat skewed by the Road Dogg mentality of wins and losses.

And this directly relates to why no new mega-star has been made the past 10 years except for Daniel Bryan, which fell into their lap because he was so good that his own phenomena forced them to book him into a superstar.

@Pinhead and I been disagreeing a lot lately

I'm tired of WWE's bs, the reason I am watching wrestling today in 2018 is because of stars like Rusev and Bray Wyatt who brought me back to the product. And I've seen these young talents systematically buried and constrained in the WWE system for years well below their talent level.

I'm not arguing against any of this? Random WWE geek beating other WWE geek is a different problem entirely.

There being no other stars than the part timers is exactly why it's not a burial. Like it or not, Taker's still a star. HHH is still a star. Hunter said himself after beating Jinder last year that he was the guy over in India. He got the biggest pop of the night. In this situation, in this match, Rusev has to lose. It makes all the sense in the world. Should he not be featured in a prominent match against the guy who just wrecked Cena in three minutes?

You can talk about Rusev being buried week to week on Smackdown and losing when he should win in big matches there, but losing to Taker isn't a problem. Him being put in that match to begin with is an acknowledgement of him getting over.

I agree that Rusev in a match with Taker isn’t a burial.

But you know who WWE is slowly killing the momentum of now? Another rising star with a great gimmick who’s super over, this time it’s Elias. Now at Mania he had the GOAT troll job when he strung his guitar after the lights went out and people were expecting Taker, but then he just got his a--- beat. Then the next night he gets destroyed by a returning Boring Lashley.

Unfortunately they’re going that ‘joke character’ route now with him so he will probably not be in any serious feuds and will just be a lame comedy character soon.

The problem with Elias is the crowd stops caring as soon as he gets in the ring. He's worked with pretty much everyone on Raw and he hasn't had anything more than an average match. I think they're doing a great job with him tbh.
