Hows nba? U play any of the story?

I like nhl tbh, havent gotten too my fave mode yet (gm/franchise) but i really f--- with the 3v3s online teamup. I just got it this morning so idk if my opiom really matters but i think its an upgrade from 16 or 17, but cant say if its a downgrade from 18 because i didnt play it. Also havent gotten much time to fiddle with rosters n look at new face scans. Ima stickler for that s---.. ea is lazy as h--- when it comes to that in comparison to mlb the show or nba2k

Even madden half the dudes dont have face scans lmao

Yeah I've just been doing the 'mycareer' s--- in NBA2k. The story is pretty detailed in the early stages before you make the NBA, there's cut scenes that go on for like 10 minutes on multiple occasions lol..so if that's not your thing, it may be a little much. But I enjoyed it honestly, it was an interesting story. You start out in some Chinese league and have to play a few games there.

Now that I'm in the NBA though there's hardly been any story so far, 14 or 15 games in. I'm sure there still will be at times but looks like most of the big parts of that are before you make the NBA.

also I'm not sure if I told them my favorite team was the Lakers, or if you just get placed on the Lakers automatically in story mode, I assume it's the first one and I forgot I picked the Lakers setting up the game or whatever..if not I'm sure non-Lakers fans would hate that lol.

But yeah I think it's quite good so far, briefly did a franchise mode but I was sucking in that for whatever reason and didn't wanna mess with the settings, so just started a mycareer for now.

This might be the first year i get all of them

If i had one actual gripe about nhl its the same one ive had for years, the deking/skill stick is still "clunky" i feel like they take/change dekes every year without telling us and i feel like they havent had a good deking system since like nhl 13? Lmaoo or some s--- like that.

Whenever they last changed it they f----- it up and its been trash (imo) ever since.

There's characters today, just not gimmicks. I don't know what can really be done character wise that hasn't already. Demon Balor is cool, but how many dead people can you have? How many crazy people? Last thing we need in today's culture are superheroes. IDK, as people and the mainstream culture became more serious and less cartoony, the characters reflected that.

It's all about putting talented people in a position to get over. As we saw in the WWE, that gimmick being on a leash and in the under/mid card was never going to work.

Lucha Underground has lots of great characters, how they handle the stories in that seems right up your alley.

According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Shawn Michaels is reportedly confirmed to be coming out of retirement to team with Triple H against the Undertaker and Kane at the next Saudi Arabian spectacular WWE Crown Jewel. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez speculated with the ‘bought show’ economics of WWE’s Saudi Arabian deal, Michaels could be making between “$1- 2 million” for this match.

Additionally, it’s being reported the WWE tried to get Shawn to wrestle this past April at The Greatest Royal Rumble. It’s becoming common knowledge that these Saudi Arabian shows are very lucrative for the WWE and all of the star power likely goes a long way in furthering these relationships. While these are just reports, it will be interesting to see where the Heartbreak Kid lands between now and November 2nd.

If this is true what do you guys think about it? I really hate it tbh, partly for selfish reasons since I saw his last match live at WM26. But also he's coming out of retirement for a d--- tag match and basically(what it sounds like at least) just for $$?? and in Saudi Arabia? Ugh..the people at the last show there weren't even paying attention during some of the matches lol.

Weak. Thought HBK was the one who would actually stay retired, apparently that's not even the case for him. Still not gonna believe it 100% till WWE confirms it, but it's definitely looking pretty likely.

Dave said today on WOL that he's said if he came back it'd be for a tag match with HHH and he's not interested in AJ/Bryan/Almas.

They did a thing like two weeks ago on Raw where Taker basically provoked Shawn and I'm sure they're gonna do an angle where he gets the blessing from Taker to retire him again.

At least they're putting some sort of effort in to explain it.
