Shinsuke vs Rusev on the pre-show was really good. Everything else just fell kind of flat for me, even AJ vs Joe

Was it just me that noticed how blue Angle's body became in those last 5 minutes?

He looked good at times in there but a lot of times he looked really bad and that's hard for me to say considering he is my favourite wrestler of all time.

Only saw the main card matches and there was nothing of note. Angle looked bad, awkward pairings in the World Cup, Shane, AJ/Joe having probably their worst match ever and killing Joe's momentum in the process. Seth/Ziggler in rest holds for half the match. This show could not have been laid out worse.

Following his match at WWE Crown Jewel, Shawn Michaelsdid an interview with WWE and indicated that this was a one-off return to the ring:

“This was a good reminder why I didn’t do it for eight years and why I won’t do again, if I can possibly help it. Monday night, Shawn will be back at the P.C. We’re going back to our regularlives. It was a lot of fun to do but I’m glad it’s over.”

Well looks like Shawn is done again..I guess that's good, but it makes this whole thing even more pointless. Plus the talk was this was gonna set up HBK/Taker down the line. I wonder if that was the plan and they changed it cuz of how the match went, or if that was never the plan in the first place?

I feel bad for him honestly, what a mess this was..Hopefully he's happy with his pay day at least, but man what a disappointing way to go out, as opposed to WM26 where it was the perfect way to go out.

I have a hard time believing he is done. He was probably told to say something along those lines so it would be more “surprising” if/when the rumoured HBK vs Taker thing happens.. which I kind of hope it doesn’t. They had their two best matches at Wrestlemania 25 and 26... they shouldn’t have another.

Yeah you might be right, I'm not sure tbh. I was gonna say I thought it was legit cuz it was some backstage interview after the show, not part of a storyline but then I saw WWE's twitter posted it too so yeah you could be right.

Anyways Roman and HHH are likely out for Mania, Rock probably won't return for it either so WWE's missing some star power. I think a good sell for this Mania would be Taker's last match, i mean it's beyond time...so why not? Seems like a good chance. h--- if HBK is legit not retiring, then have him and Taker wrestle 1 more time I guess and let it be both their last matches..

I mean it'd be sad to see but WWE needs something for this Mania and to me booking it around Taker's retirement and selling that idea would be smart. If HBK is done, maybe even Taker/Kane 1 more time? I dunno, let em both retire together or something. I doubt they do Taker vs. a younger guy at this point.

Of course they could push the younger talented people to main event level but lol....we know that probably won't happen.

I could see it. But Wrestlemania should be reserved for the best matches right? I mean, every match should be a good match.... but reality is, they aren’t and we know that.

Showcase of the immortals... so if HBK vs Taker happened again... would people expect it to be a classic? The last singles match between the two took place in 2010.. 8 years ago. Both have aged and while HBK can still “go”... Taker has a hard time keeping up it seems. I mean.. would I watch it? Of course... would I look forward to it? No...

Stranger things have happened though.


I think Rock will make it for Wrestlemania though.. More rumours for him this year than there was last year. Maybe Rock vs HHH or Rock vs ... Samoa Joe? Jokingly for “Samoan bragging rights” lol.

One thing missing here is Shawn's ego. I really don't think he outright wanted to do this, the prince wanted stars from the past and you can't turn down the money.

I saw a GIF of him pretending to brush his hands through his nonexistent hair, you can tell just how insecure he is about it and doing an interview as quickly as he did suggests he's trying to save face. As a guy who puts a lot of his personal worth into his hair, I guarantee he wouldn't have cut it if he ever thought there was a chance he'd come back.
