In-ring wise, some of it will be solid.

I’m a story guy in wrestling, I need to be interested in the stories behind them most of the time to really be invested in the feud/match.

There’s basically nothing I’m fully invested in for Mania right now.. The build has been a mess, at the very least I’d think people could see that even if they like the card. There’s some exceptions but for the most part if I’m not into the story it’s just 2 random guys wrestling..

Speaking of that, why the f--- is Charlotte the SD women’s champ now? Are both titles on the line now? Or they’re being unified? So confused lol..

My personal opinion is Charlotte stays on smackdown and feuds with Asuka over the title, and Becky wins the Raw title and stays on Raw

Or Asuka some how gets involved into the Triple threat and takes Charlotte's place, IDK. I've given up on this whole feud

My guess is it'll be a 2/3 falls match for the two belts...just like the WM2000 one with Jericho/Angle/Benoit for the IC and Euro titles

Surprised some people still care about Asuka after the Carmella fiasco last year. They booked her to make us not care.

We need a Bad News Barrett smiley.

If they don't care and want to change things every week, it is what it is. Vince thinks we don't remember and considering we keep coming back, why would he think otherwise?

    Edit

Although a lot have stopped so this really does gotta change soon.

Nak is old and complacent, but he really should have beat AJ last year.

Isn't AJ older though? I'm with you on that Nakamura statement nonetheless.

Difference is AJ works hard, and they went all the way with him.

AJ has stayed strong despite bad booking because fans still see him as a top level performer. He doesn't work anywhere near as hard as he did even in 2016, but he still has great matches. You can barely expect a good match with Nak if he's thrown in with a random dude, and his work ethic was even in question back in New Japan unless it was a high level match. His body was broken down even back then. Nak's had maybe 3-4 New Japan level performances in the WWE.

d--- so it just came out the first Smackdown on FOX is going to right here at Staples Center!

I'm honestly more stoked for this than if a SummerSlam was going to be here lol That is by far going to be WWE's biggest SD, or even Raw, episode of the last 20 years and I expect them to go all f---ing out for it.

It didn't even occur to me that with Fox's headquarters in L.A. that there was a possibility the debut would be here...crazy!

Should be a new stage/presentation being the first show of the new era.

Not to be the total buzz k--- or whatever, but I think that 'schedule' that came out for 2019 is debatable as to whether or not it's true..Here in Portland they usually come in February and October, that list had them in june and I wanna say September, also had them one of the times in some arena they've never done for the 9 years I've lived here, and visiting cities they don't typically visit. It also had some dates where they had 4 shows listed on the same date..

Just saying might want to wait till WWE or staples officiaolly announces it before you cosider it a sure thing, I have doubts bout how legitimate that schedule is..

Then again, its a "possibility" that the first SD on Fox could be at the Staples Center. It's most likely the best option for WWE at the moment. Money wise and for the growth of the fanbase at least.

Yeah it makes sense and is probably my best guess for the location they'd pick anyways, assuming they try to have it somewhere special..but I just wouldn't consider it 'confirmed' or anything based off that schedule that was released.

Not really seeing any info about SD being held at Staples. Gonna need to look at that schedule everyone's talking about. If it's officially been stated that is.

Edit: Just found out, still a little sceptical about this. Gonna lurk around Reddit and Twitter just to make sure.

Lot of people seem to be taking that schedule as fact, but like I said earlier I really have my doubts cuz the reasons I stated earlier.

I also doubt WWE really plans THAT far in advance especially for US shows, plus arenas often don’t even know what their schedules will be like that far out, some have pro sports teams or other commitments and don’t know the exact dates needed for that.

Fox is expecting better ratings for SD, which wouldn't be so hard considering Fox is literally a local channel that anyone can tune in.

If I were head of WWE, honestly, I wouldn't use up all the major arenas all at once, maybe once every 2 weeks, but not every week. Also they should focusing on more on the competition and booking, and not as much on the comedic skits between matches. There can be some, just don't overdose the s--- out of it every match.

I also heard that Fox doesn't want SD to be as politically correct as possible, which I'm not gonna comment on.

SD can potentially be bigger than Raw if the corporate offices know the right things to do.

So what you're saying is that we could possibly be returning to the days of 2002 Smackdown when every week's episodic matter of uninterrupted continuance was producing non-stop must-see television? Chea. Would be a wonderfully serendipitous matter of unexpected happenstance. Unfortunately, I can't help but feel like that is an intangible pipe dream at this point.

Basically. As much as I want to see it happen, it's doubtful that they'll actually come up with such an idea, like you said, with what they've been doing for the past decade, it's pretty much dead it the tracks at this point in time.
