Dec 27, 2015 honestly koolo you should close this thread before starting another tpab vs gkmc. Believe it or not but a lot of people are starting to hate gkmc because it didn't get the same praise as tpab.

Dec 27, 2015 Also, like someone said before, I don't see the kendrick fans trying to turn people off. If anything the kendrick fans are posting what professional and artists/musicians are saying about this album which let me think that Sizzza may be right when he says some people are hating because they're not qualified to talk about it. Illmatic haters usually don't know what to say, they always trying to reach for the stars, its the same s--- for the kanye haters, its the same s--- for the pac haters and right now it's the same s--- about the tpab haters. And as far as I'm concerned, I was a huge fan of GKMC but I'm sorry, TPAB makes gkmc sounds like a mixtape and I probably like gkmc more . TPAB is just that good, it's quality can't be matched by any other kendrick project
Dec 27, 2015 that's because GKMC is more mainstream and section80 has a more generic jazz atmosphere. Fans of other genres are showing nothing but praise for this album and they don't say anything about how it could be hard to listen to.
Dec 27, 2015 Why should they? the critics are doing a good job explaining why it's the album of the year and according to them, its the consensus AOTY. Fantano also did a great job in his review & recent top 50 list. I'm confused, what critics are saying right now is exactly what the fans were saying when the album came out. Ofc ain't nobody is trying to make a valid point anymore, people don't want to repeat themselves and they certainly don't want to say what has been said to death. This right here is the fact that the kendrick fans actually not trying to be annoying.
Dec 27, 2015 Not their fault if kendrick dropped one of the best albums of all time. Sure it's not as accessible as gkmc, but it's still a way better album. Are the kendrick fans not supposed to link all these end year lists ranking TPAB #1? thats what everybody would say. The way I see it, some people just feel insecure about their favorite artists not having any praise (and they don't even deserve it)
Dec 27, 2015 meh... more accessible but TPAB is much better if we're being honest. Same s--- for section 80... people who didn't get caught in the hype knew it was always better than gkmc, its up there with tpab.
Dec 27, 2015 thats exactly what b.dot from rapradar said. I used to disagree with him but now its hard to argue against the fact that gkmc is kendrick's worst album (not counting his mixtapes)
Dec 27, 2015 I don't understand TPAB Being too complex lyrically is a bad thing i'm not saying sacrifice lyricsim and don't be lyrical but being too lyrically complex is just bad musically Kendricks hooks are awful he needs to leave the hooks to featured singers
