Dec 27, 2015 TPAB is a project he planned to do later in his career, but he decided his life was in the right place for the project. His next LP (Not counting possible collab) will probably be more straight Hip Hop rather then a fusion of Jazz and Funk. It was loved and hated by the masses, he did his ambitious project, and now he's going to make something not anything like TPAB.
Dec 28, 2015 This happened to me around half a year ago, RG would have 8/10 threads be TPAB or Kendrick related. Got so sick of it I just quit listening to him instantly. Luckily this forum is actually good and Kendrick stans have their own section to circlejerk in. I'll probably return to his stuff in the future when I feel like it.
Dec 28, 2015 Overstanning is more destructive to new people who want to get into his music though. If you say a project is a 10, they're going to expect a 10 at first listen and end up extremely disappointed.
Dec 28, 2015 I think they earned the right to be annoying as soon as kendrick dropped TPAB, it's one of the best albums we have heard in recent memories.
Dec 28, 2015 The ones who say this project is a 10/10 aren't just the fans. As a matter of fact, this is a consensus among critics that don't even stan kendrick that this project is near 10/10. You can't always blame his fans.

Dec 28, 2015 I think it is flawless and whathever you gonna say can't change that. But this isn't the question, critics gave this album the near flawless status, not the fans, they just happen to agree with that.
Dec 28, 2015 The problem with TPAB is, Hip-Hop/Rap fans are 80% not into jazz or something so out the box, and there is nothing wrong with that, but when stans and critics are calling it "THE BEST RAP ALBUM OF ALL TIME, WITH A LITTLE BIT OF JAZZ" they are expecting it to be a full on gangbanging consuscious rap album, but its basically a consuscious jazz album with rap in it and the majority of people who aren't into jazz are dissapointed.
