Aug 11, 2023 I had a feeling that would be somewhat divisive at first. I think it’ll grow on some people. To me this seems like a natural progression from what she was doing before. I’m not saying it’s the best song ever but I like it. Some people might think I’ll like anything she puts out but that’s not true. There’s even some songs from The Weeknd that I think are mediocre and he’s my favorite singer
Aug 12, 2023 I’ll check out the full album when it drops. I just have not honestly listened to anything but what I catch on the radio. I been meaning to check out her first album so I will probably do that some point before the album drops. Brutal I heard it’s good so I will check out her album soon.
Aug 12, 2023 The first album has some versatility to it. There’s inspiration from Taylor Swift, Paramore, Gracie Abrams, Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, etc. so if you like any of those artists you’ll probably find some stuff you like. There’s even some country inspiration in the lyrics. On SOUR there’s some pop punk songs, some acoustic/ballad songs, and some pop songs. I think it’s a good album. There are a few songs that are weaker than others mostly due to being slightly redundant in the story of the album and the sound, but those are still decent too. Her writing is one of her strongest qualities as she does a good job at making it feel very personal but also relatable. From what the public has heard of GUTS, it sounds like a natural progression from the sounds and themes on SOUR. Some might’ve expected a bigger switch up, but I think there’s a nice balance between making some changes while not sounding too different.
Aug 12, 2023 Yeah I dunno man. I like Good 4u, its catchy as f--- and I like her singing. I know that the subject to this song is kinda similar (as in, teenage drama) but this one sounds way more like 'I'm a 14 year old high school girl' than good 4u imo. The hook itsn't nearly as catchy and the verses are lazy (the blah blah s---, repeating bad Idea right 4 times everytime). I don't hate it, and I like Olivia & check out her album. Maybe this song grow on me but for now this isn't it.
Aug 12, 2023 @Ripper Roo this is a little harsh maybe but I think this is way more childish. Like, good 4u she was an angry woman, jealous of her ex getting over her so quickly while she clearly can't. That's way more mature imo than acting like a school girl that sneaks away to meet a boy.

Aug 12, 2023 The singles for her debut were just way better. There’s also no evolution since the last project, it seems. Still the same highschool teen and topics, except the songs don’t really work well, something is off.

Aug 25, 2023 Interesting switch she is making for sure. Some grunge this time around so I will see where the hip hop and rock influence takes her. Her and LDR might be able to make music now with this direction.
