Aug 14, 2017 lol mom is the opposite of strict she always just let us do whatever as a product of that i have horrible self discipline
Aug 14, 2017 When I was younger I had the pretty stereotypical strict West Indian father. Thought nothing of it. Most people who come from a Caribbean or even African background probably knows what I'm talking about. However, it wasn't until the time I turned 10 when my dad actually started to straight up physically abuse me on the regular. Like everything I did was wrong. If he wasn't beating me then he was constantly bringing me down, saying I was always a bad kid. I got more s--- than my younger sister and my older brother. It got to the point where now I believe I would've been better off without a dad. s---, just last year when he was d--- near dying from a failing liver and kidney I was the only one who could give him what he needed and I actively refused because after all the s--- he put me through in my life I wasn't gonna keep that guy alive. But anyway, I do not have a strict mother. I just have an overprotective mother. But oftentimes I tell her to chill out and let me be me and she normally backs off.
Aug 14, 2017 There is a difference between strict parenting (like raising ur kids not to be idiots or wannabe tough guys) and being a d-ck to ur kids
Aug 14, 2017 He's just a d-ck, he even cusses out other kids and s--- that live in this house and they really aren't even his, he's a p---- that doesn't phase me anymore since he throws my mom to the dirt like that. When I see him just go off on my mom my adrenaline is extremely high and I become really protective but other than that when he yells at me or threatens me I don't even pay attention I mind my own business because I have responsibilities on my own.
Aug 14, 2017 I always caught an a--- whooping as a kid if I f----- around, now looking back at it I don't think I could do the same if I had a child, I think it was just the norm back then
